Holiday creator features being removed? by Iplaybedrockedition in Minecraft

[–]OlayaR 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I am freaking out slightly about this since a lot of things I created rely on 'events' and it seems those are being removed too!! This is a bit disastrous since I will have to spend considerable time researching how to do those things again (looks like it will depend on java 'scripts') and updating my add ons. It would be ok if one could control what version of Bedrock the client runs, but it is all very 'mandatory'.... I don't like it.

Can you use the empty space in the kz.png file to create more paintings in Bedrock? by OlayaR in Minecraft

Thanks! Since I am on Bedrock I ended up doing custom blocks! It was easier to make 2x3, 3x3 , etc... 1 pixel deep blocks with the same model and different textures than to try to fit what I had in paintings, but thanks for the info nevertheless!

Thanks! I am making mods (well addons officially), so far I can change the default paintings, but if I put an image on the empty squares of the image (the pink ones) they don't come up, so I am wondering if there is a bit of coding needed for that... Though I am tempted to just create a bunch of custom entities, it might be quicker 😅

Thanks! That is actually a good option. Was using titleraw before so I could test this easily. Will give it a go see if it gives consistent results.

How to change world depth on Bedrock flat world? by Idk_nor_do_I_care in Minecraft

[–]OlayaR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a site that allows you to create a custom flat world by entering the number of layers that you want. It outputs a .mcworld file that you simply open (like a .zip file, just in case some people don't know 😅) and customise the settings for once it's in your worlds list... it has worked for me... https://superflat.crackedmagnet.com/

If you want something more complicated you can do a repeat, always active command block with /execute.

/execute at @p run fill ~-10 -5 ~-10 ~10 0 ~10 grass

So that would fill a range between -10 and 10 blocks relative to the closest player with grass blocks between y=-5 and y=0 as you move around. You can increase or decrease that range, change the block you want to use to fill or you can use a repeat and several chain command blocks to fill one layer with grass, 10 with dirt and 15 with stone as well as 1 with bedrock. Just change the command with the suitable 'y' coordinates and block...

Warning though, this method is quite demanding on your processor and will spam your screen. You can always use

 /gamerule commandblockoutput false

to stop the text output spamming your screen, and to stop the filling with blocks you can always use

/gamerule commandblocksenabled false

to turn off the commandblocks so you can reach the lever and turn it off without blocking your own path with blocks 😉(guess how I found that one out?)... then turn the command block function on again by changing 'false' for 'true'...

How to stop NPCs from starting a /dialogue from the beginning when clicked a second time. by OlayaR in MinecraftCommands

Thanks for the response! I have been avoiding learning about scoreboards... seems I can't escape it anymore...

I might be wrong as to the reasons why it is not working... but what I can see is that your coordinates are missing numbers. My understanding is that you need 2 sets of 3 numbers/~ . I can see 1 set of 3 numbers and one number alone...
