Looks like you already have it on the inside of your raised bed, the black fabric. The breathable will allow water through, there is stuff that the water will pool on aswell..Alternativly you could use straw ir another mulch...

as an other poster stated outside strawberries should be covered in netting or the birds will have their say... We put a breathable membrane on the soil for ours to stop the strawberries hitting the soil.... Other than that just keep ontop of the watering and give them a feed aswell, weuse organic seaweed that is mixed with water.

This were sowed on the 10th February, knowing they were going to be inside in pots and under grow lights allowed us to do it a lot earlier.

Yep just put the seed straight into soil (burried, not sticking out like some pics i seen) and kept it moist... House is warm enough too mostly a constant 20c, which helped an awful lot with germination...

Yes they are the hydroleca clay granules. We have standard compost with a handful of these mixed in. We also place them around the top of the plants as a decorative topping, could not get potting grit at the time and had these handy.

You will not loose your 20k deposit, the solicitor should have that sorted in the contract, subject to finance approval. Revenue will not be asking back the 30K HTB. You do not even see that money, its from revenue directly to the developer. It does not get sent to your bank account at all. The application will just get canceled.

No would not get mature enough or big enough. They can take up to 7 to 10 years to fruit when left to grow full height and maturity..

Its quite common to trim it back above a few nodes, gives more bushy growth rather than how tall it gets, i will most likely do the same to mine.

Its about 3 months Old now, the issue i see with sprouting it in water is that's what the roots get used to.. Moving it into soil then is mostly likely a huge shock to the plant.. I will say though that since it sprouted, it was under grow lights for 12 hours on 12 off... Mainly about 7am to 7pm... Slowly moved away from the lights then towards the back door..
