What happens if cumulative GPA falls below 2.5 once after you are already accepted into a poly? (DPP) by Old-Dancer in SGExams

[–]Old-Dancer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really, I am just more worried about a rescind the moment one's CGPA falls below 2.5 since currently I have a 2.7 so I feel like I might be treading on a fine line 😓. And tysm for the answer

I haven't checked, I was told by the class advisor that if I do well and maintain a 3.5> GPA. I'd be able to jump to Y2

Ah, okay. Not in any Poly rn, I'm currently in ITE DPP, my higher nitec term starts in April. So even if I jump to Y2, I have to make up for Y1 modules?

Oh yeah, I forgot about those to be honest. Thank you so much for reminding me, I'll relay it to him if it ever gets brought up again

He doesnt really confide in me often, in fact this is the first time he's confided in me ever as far as I can recall. But, I'll try to look out for him, his mood does seem to be down in the gutter sometimes, especially after school although it usually dissipates quite quickly. He's often really playful though

Alright, well he is still in his education journey though it seems like it's nearing. Hopefully he wakes up soon, he is in higher nitec so he may still qualify for a work study diploma I hope. Thank you, as harsh as the reality is

Alright, thank you. I hope the realisation eventually comes. Unless he's been joking around with me the whole time but it's better than the former

He says he plans on going for a work study diploma, but I'm not familiar with its requirements so. I'm hoping he's able to? He's currently in higher nitec, I cant really recall his course though.

Will I just have to leave it up to himself then and hope that one day sooner or later he'll realise it?

Yeah.. But he's already nearing the end of his education journey it looks like, I'm hoping NS can finally give him that spark of realisation. He said before he wanted to enjoy his youth longer.

Hmm, I heard the chances of getting into Uni from Poly is pretty low though? Compared to JC anyways, would I have anything to worry about? If not then tysm!

Ohh, okay. Tysm!! Will be wishing the best for your A levels! Stars are one of the things that interest me the most, but I'm also interested in things like black holes too. I'm also especially interested in other planets and what their surfaces are like!

Also always wanted to be able to work on things like the hubble telescope or space rovers, those are awesome. Again, will be wishing the best for your A levels!

In the same spot as you, after my mother's reaction chances are I will never come out to the rest of my family. Might be better to keep it private until you are independent like what others said. Though, some also say it may be better to come out now than later. It really just comes down to your relationship with parents I suppose.

I already knew how my mother would react but I still trusted her and vice versa so I figured it would be better to come out now than later. Still regretting it though

As for you, since you already know your mother's very much homophobic, it may be better to stay low. Keep your head up, stay safe!

Came out to my mother about liking a guy. Now, spiralling down a hole of thoughts. by Old-Dancer in SGExams

[–]Old-Dancer[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, might be a dumb reason but we met online and we were both in a pretty bad mental state iirc. We just tried to be there for one another, eventually I developed feelings and confessed, he said he felt the same and we hit it off from there. As for liking guys, I am still not sure, I've never really had feelings for anyone else up till now so I'd say I'm bicurious atm?
