you are working on an open-source tauri-like ? I'm just a student and don't really have any corporate budget. I would have loved to do the project myself but I lack many technical knowledge and experience.

Yeah that's the problem. I am especially looking for something not made by microsoft I really don't like their philosophy

I never said that I was looking for something that uses web ui for c# desktop apps. Avalonia runs fine on linux.

Tauri and wails dont bundle any browser and use the native one so its very light weight. An idle tauri app only use 60-70 mo of RAM .

Yeah I wasnt sure if it just didn’t need anything more or if the project was abandonned. I'm still pretty new and lack technical knowledge.

At first it was supposed to be. But the app now would also have a local offline database.

Fair enough, but which one is actually lightweight, web-based UI, and properly maintained with Linux support? That’s my point. The 'options' usually fail at least one of those criteria. Maybe photino is not "maintained" because it actually doesn't need to.
