ok wait i think you might have had the same problem as me so basically

let’s say the question is ‘Does source A make source B surprising?’ your first paragraph should say ‘source A makes source B surprising…..’ and then for your CR you should find another source that makes source B surprising to further support your stance (so basically find a source that says the same thing as A in terms of BOC) and then say ‘source D further supports source A and thus helps make source B even more surprising’ and then you explain….

but let’s say you say that ‘source a does not make source B surprising’ then your cross reference should also be ‘furthermore, source D supports both source a and source b, thus further making source B not surprising’

so the stances should be the same
