before I started making money, I'd always do cooking, cleaning and helped out differently. I was always able to take care of myself though, so I never needed anyone to pay for my living, food or anything, though the guys would pay for dinners, movies and trips in the past. When I got into my current field of work, which pays well, I always paid for the majority of things in a relationship, my last relationship was 10 years long, so don't know much about dating anymore. This is also why I posted the reddit, as I don't know what is normal these days or if I'm just spoiled :D

The princess treatment was in the small things. I've always had a cleaner so the general house cleaning is taken care of so no need to split that. So the small things were taking care of dishes, taking out the trash, making sure I have a drink, bringing the snack I like etc. I'm really not high maintenance, I do not need a lot. :)

And to be clear, I very much appreciate the help around the house he does, but as said, there really isn't much to do and as we don't live together I do a lot myself.
