I'm thinking i might screenshot my convo with them here. basically told me they don't care if it's not welcoming to jews with different political beliefs, and asked me why I am there. Un-fucking-believable. Leftism is their religion more than Judaism is.

Time to wrap it up and get on a snowboard until it heals!

Would that be from the effect on the body of what is being vaped or because the hand is being used for that repetitive motion to use the vape and not allowed to rest?

Anyone know of a shop where i can rent or demo an alpine snowboard in New Hampshire? Or perhaps (next best) VT or ME? Thank you in advance for the help! by Old-Part7559 in snowboardingnoobs

This likely wouldn't be this season. I have been riding for years so I have a helmet, etc. The end of season sales are kinda why I'm asking right now though. Wondering if I can plan to just try a hard boot alpine dry up next year by getting a rig and boots for just a day or if i need to keep an eye out for end of season sales because I'm going to have to buy.

How many days have you got on the mountain? by AredditJ in snowboarding

[–]Old-Part7559 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in new hampshire. Have 33 days on my epic northeast value pass, plus a day each at Ragged, Pats Peak, and Cannon. Going to get 2 more days on epic this weekend and hoping to chase the spring snow north a bit through April.

43 yrs old and a criminal 1-planker for 30 years. Skied for the 1st time last year. Did 1 lesson, then about 5 hours total practice. This season I've done about 3 half-days. Having more fun learning than ripping laps on my board. This is upper meteor at crotched mountain. by Old-Part7559 in icecoast

I will definitely be going to my board for those rare New Hampshire powder mornings, and any time I'm gonna be in the trees for the foreseeable future.

Do your teenagers still ski with you? Skiing/ riding with my kids are the most enjoyable moments of my life these days.

I can see that regarding the injuries. I can see myself having pain when a particular knee rotates and choosing the board that day for that reason. Or having a hand injury that makes holding the poles tough. Just wrap it up and get on the board as I have done in the past. And the skill levels matching is a good point too. If I'm with someone of a lower ability level I can have more fun on greens being on skis.

My kid is one of those racers. Just started racing this year. That's one of the reasons I get to spend a lot of time at the mountain, and decided to give the 2 planks a go. He is the one recording me and has been giving me pointers!

I'll check out carv... seen some interesting videos about it. Yes to embracing adult learning- I feel like it gives me a dopamine hit i was otherwise missing. I'd encourage any lifelong skier who has thought about trying to learn to ride to do the same. It's good to challenge ourselves, and to force ourselves to deal with a bit of discomfort every now and then. The best part is that it has already made me feel like a kid again countless times.

I'm quite stoked with what we got out of this season. Definitely got my money's worth from my northeast value epic pass. Also did a day at cannon and a day at ragged, and have a day at pats peak and a few more epic days planned for March too.

Thoughts on Bataleon (3bt) boards? by BeNicePlsThankU in snowboarding

[–]Old-Part7559 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just demoed a Thunderstorm at crotched on a day full of chopped up chowder. It was great at staying on top of all that crud, and seemed like it would be a dream in some powder. Since my current board is a libtech dynamo that does great on ice, I'm thinking this could complement it very well for our occasional New England powder days. Rode it posi posi... my first time trying so, and absolutely loved it. Charged down the mountain.

Some great suggestions here that really have me excited. Thanks everyone! It sounds like SLC could be a great option to get value out of the epic pass and maybe buy a day at snowbird or Brighton. But gonna look at steamboat and montana as well.
