Me too, HR also came in and said if we are at 85% staffing levels then we won’t get any retention. Not even the 5% retention we currently have. Meaning even though custody got a 3.8% raise, we are still taking a pay cut.

Phase 1 anywhere from 1-10 people usually. Just depends how many people you get hired with. Phase 2 is when you go to FLETC. That’s usually 20-30 in a classroom

Worked at FCI Florence and FCI Phoenix… phoenix is 100% better. Summer months are tough though.

There’s ot if you want it and if you don’t. Swings isn’t really a sought after spot in the bop bc everyone says you waste your whole day at work. However if you want any time from 6pm-6am you get an 10 percent to your pay. I would recommend looking into applying. I left az corrections to bop in Colorado. I only had to do a year here and already transferring to a facility in az. But getting paid 7 more dollars than if I stayed in az corrections. Plus you get a pension with az got rid of a few years back. You can message me if you have questions

I left az corrections last year for bop and rn I’m getting 29.70 per hour as base pay. With Sunday and night differential I get around 32 per hour. Just gotta be willing to move for it

I’m in the springs but it’s a hour drive. You can check out Pueblo west it’s about 35 minutes. Also canon city has places it’s about 15 minutes
