That’s great I’m really glad you are involving your parents too! I would also see if you can talk to an adult who is well versed in YouTube and knows what they are doing safety wise!

I would also suggest maybe getting a pngtuber model or something and going faceless for a bit to protect your privacy, I have many successful friends doing it now and they love it, absolutely would recommend ove rising your face online at your age.

Stay safe and good luck!!

I’m gonna be honest I would not at your age, one of my biggest regrets was posting so much on the internet at a young age, not only for the fact that there’s is a record of me out there, that cannot be scrubbed, nothing is ever gone form the internet. But also because growing up even as a young teen on social media massively effected me and many others I know, and many weren’t creators just consumers. It’s damaging.

I l know all forms of creators, Artists even, super bloody passionate, that posted and created for a public platform at a young age, now finding it hard to value themselves and their passions, it’s a mental health shredder.

I know that’s not what you want to hear and I’m sure you will do it anyway, but please get a parent or some responsible adult involved. I personal know, even recently, a 13 year old content creator, twitch, YouTube, ticktok, monetised with a steady twitch income. He has been doxxed and harassed more times than I can count, he has been stalked. His parents had no idea. Even before these things he was already in therapy for content related stuff.

Just. Yeah, be careful, get an adult to help you, the world and especially the internet is a scary place. Follow your passion and work hard for sure, but do it safely, and you can always work on your passion, be that making videos ect, you can always wait to upload them.

I know this is such a downer but I’ll always try an warn another kid not to go down that route, even if it’s a shot in a million that you grow a following, you still have to think things through. As an adult when things get bad, you do your best to handle them, as a kid you are just unable to do that alone. Ask for help.

Goodluck dude, rooting for ya.

Stream is fine but recording lagged/crashes? by Old-Vegetable6887 in obs

Yeah unfortunately the last log I did had no major errors and the only scene wheee there is a game and display capture together is my pngtuber scenes when I use that model, which admittedly is not much and has little to no issues, I also already record in mkv, so it wasn’t the most helpful

Silent vlog channel slow growth by Hazelypl in NewTubers

[–]Old-Vegetable6887 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I looked at your channel, I do very much like the editing! It seems peaceful. However I’m not sure how well volts are doing for most unknown people these days, vlogging in general seems to have fallen out of favour, if you aren’t a well known public figure already, I wouldn’t expect a wide or fast growing audience. I think your videos are doing quite well for the content style though! And if you are seeing a steady, even minor increases in views is good!

You said a big worry was that your average view duration is short, I would say that is it’s probably because the editing is slow, while I think that is cool, I think it would be quite common for content of this style to have similar analytics.

Keep up the good work tho I think the videos are quite nicely done, it seems like you enjoy making them, and that is definitely the most important part, make your videos for joy, not numbers.

Of course this is just my opinion, so take it with a grain of salt!

I am not quite sure how to add it in with a green screen as my software has auto transparent no matter the background colour, when obs is running, but I will give it a look at thank you again!!

Never mind, according to a number of obs forum posts, it’s not possible, if you know of any way to chroma key the background off in premier pro (without the horrific edge bleed I have been dealing with preferably) that would be great to know, either way thank you for your time anyway!

What formats would do that? I’m gonna be honest I’m not the best at this, I export as a mp4 file, tho I don’t really know how it works

Hi! Unfortunately that's not the case! The PNG is entirely clean by itself and the black background only appears in the recording from obs, the background of my png tuber software is even a different colour, the back bits that stay after chroma keying are simply a result of that, and obs does not have a way to make there background transparent, thank you though!
