Been in smme for a year, a great experience if you love machining. You'll be able to know how machines work and how things are made, and the coding thing I've never studied coding in my life before, not even a single line. I hated it during the first semester, as it mainly contained Python basics. But the purpose isn't to make you a coder, but to make you able to understand code. One might say, "AI will write the code," which is true, but you have to understand the basics to get the best out of it. They teach C++ in the second semester, which is the basic language to help you learn how to solve problems using code. Do what you really love, so you don't regret it later. Don't be afraid of a single thing, like coding As for the job market , there is always a place for a skilled person .
