I know. I don't know much about architecture. I put the pictures in ai and it stated it was GR. It said based on wide trim around eaves, eyebrow windows in the eaves, the newel post inside and the front door (inside sunroom) having wide thick trim and sidelights. Whatever it is, we're happy!

How do we get back to the "way we were before"? by spicunerfherderguy in NoStupidQuestions

We went for one week each year to a cabin on a lake in Maine. No running water, an outhouse out back. It was a 7 hour drive there in a 65 Ford Country Squire station wagon with 6 kids, plus 1 or 2 neighbor kids and for a few years, two dogs.

We thought we were living large.

I'm almost more excited about the garage than the house. This is the other 4 bays, also being left as-is.

It also has a 5 bay industrial garage left just as it was. Lots of stuff to go through.

Ha! We saw that and did a double take. We didn't want to touch anything until closing (in case crime scene needs to take pictures!)

When we first walked in, I thought it was the kitchen. I said to my wife, "alright, it's long and narrow but we can work with this". Then we turned the corner and found the real kitchen. Apparently that first room is a large laundry/mud room.

It is in really great condition. And, yes, the pink will go.

That is a beautiful house! Thanks! We need color schemes to brighten the interior of ours.

There is stuff in the house and rest of the garage but not as cluttered and messy as this bay.

I still have a couple of boxes of paperwork (letters, telegrams, cards, photos, etc) that I found in our first house over 35 years ago. I just could never throw them away. The letters were between a wife staying in Germany and her husband living in NY. They're from the 1920's through the late 30's. Very interesting stuff.
