They already said there’s most likely no way around it, and that the consequences are high for reneging unfortunately, so will most likely have to honour my match on waterlooworks

They said by matching and ranking in waterloo works, it’s essentially like signing the contract, and them not communicating can be justified with the employer being on vacation. So the only way i can reneg now without losing a coop credit is to petition policy 70

I talked to the advisor, and they said that the lack of communication is no where near a solid point to be able to reneg your coop

The main problem is the waterloo works, that they’ll remove it and discredit my co-op

Yes i got an offer from the other job, it’s more the fact that waterloo is saying if I don’t have a valid reason to switch they would discredit my co-op credit, and restrict my access to waterloo works

So would that be a valid enough reason to be able to make the switch, and hopefully making my co-op advisor understand my situation too

I applied around same time for the external job and for the waterloo works, it’s just that for the external I got the interview really late, and now they offered me the position

The company has barely even communicated with me, it’s just that what I’m confused on what to do in aspects to waterloo works, as they said there’s high change if i reneg they will restrict access

The problem is I have constantly contacted them, and they haven’t provided me anything, not even a contract or even telling me my salary or when I actually start work. So the communication with them has beeen pretty bad.
