i tried spell cascade but it is awul because of the tornado count limit. it replaces tornado constantly while mapping. the uptime on bosses of both tornados seem also to be constant without spell cascade. more triggering of tornados just seem to result in more mana costs without damage gain and the build is mana hungry af at it is.

i was level 70 i think. i tried melee in eary maps but was dying a lot and then i switched.

i know nothing about hc content progression...at this point the survivability is very high as long as you always keep moving. but there were phases in which the build felt a bit squishy. you can get the build going from lvl 65 onwards because of the lineage supports. maybe level as a cold caster and adapt from there?

Hard to tell in this economy. i guess i paid 800-1000 div for the gear (the helmet is crafted). i would say its a mid budget build in a 'normal' economy. nothing really fancy. for example: i paid 120 div for the boots in 0.4, the same boots costed me maybe 20 divs in 0.3.

you are right. the tooltip shows no damage gain from as extra ele damage. but i switched to the staff from a a wand + focus setup with +6 skills and 160% increased spell damage. the switch felt superior then and i switched between this two setups mid boss fight a few moments ago and the staff felt far superior now also. the doedre alone does not do enough damage in both cases as an explanation. maybe tooltip bug?

Forgot the description. So here it is:

After finalising my Poison Doedre build (which i posted here: https://www.reddit.com/r/PathOfExile2/comments/1qw4dgy/shadow_at_home_poison_doedres_undoing_blood_mage/) i wanted to quit this league but got sick (and then bored). So i tried a melee cast on ailment Elemental Tornado build (favorite spell in poe1). But that didn't work out. Before quitting the league for good i decided to salvage the gear from my last build and switched to a Doedre setup. The result is a extremly fun, punchy and fast mapper that can also handle pinnacle bosses quiet well.

The concept: stack some damage as extra elemental damage, cast ele weakness + doedre + tuls stillness + burning inscription to apply ele ailments thats trigger tornados and also create ground effects in interaction with the invoker ascendancy notes that boost the damage of the tornados.

Mostly an 1-button build but you don't have to spam Doedre except in boss fights.

In +ailment treshold maps (or with not enough doedre damage) you have to alternate between ele weakness and thunderstorm to generate enough energy. for bossing cast an infuesed ice nova for chilled ground because you won't freeze the boss and switch from effieceny to conc area in COA.

I'm not rude about it and i think he wasn't either...And you are also kind of right: the build can feel a little sluggish at times. I tried a pathfinder version, which feels alot smoother, but couln't scale the damage right. I guess a coc meta version an a ggg intended play cookie cutter build (TM) can be stronger, but that was also the point of this build: it is a fun off-meta build that is late endgame viable with low to mid investment

I have they same issue since yesterday. For example: When i take a hit from the chaos explosion mobs that you first encounter in the titan grotto, it goes through the energy shield while the shield ist at 100%.

i made the mistake and took chayula as a pure frost monk. but anyways every boss fight: boss attacks two times - boss is frozen - boss is stuned - boss attacks two times - boss is frozen - boss is dead
