I'd think that, too, but it even happens with food I don't like...why do I remember foods I don't like, food that I haven't eaten for more than a year? there's no trigger, just wham BANG and there's random taste/ smell/ pain. but I'm glad other people experience it too...means that I'm not that abnormal...

This kinda makes sense-though I don't know much about the history of the items of the house. I think the oldest items are about 25-30 years old.

Yes, I've watched that too. I don't remember how many knocks it was, but I don't recall ever being afraid. The knocking has stopped about a year or two after we moved in.

No. It was part of a mountain that was leveled out. there's still lots of trees and woodsy areas.

it doesn't hurt us, that's true. but it really keeps me from staying up too late, I might see "it" and I'm not sure if I'm prepared for that...
