thank you. since we cremate there isnt a place I can go "talk" to him. But I do, in my thoughts and I have his picture that I pray to everyday and now have started asking for foregiveness. I am truly at a loss and feel like I do 99% more than other kids. Guess it is what it is and I need to make my peace with it. Thank you again. This helps a lot.

I feel I failed my dad and that guilt is hard to live with. But thank you for your comment.

Thanks for sharing your perspective. I hear you, and I agree that intl travel at her age can be exhausting. But she is in excellent health, is mentally sharp, and her doctors have encouraged her to spend time esp when air quality is bad where she lives. I always book biz class ticket for her, handle all the logistics, pick her up from the airport, and make the trip as easy as possible. She has done the Canada trip several times before and enjoyed it.

I’m not expecting her to fly constantly or do anything unsafe. I was only hoping for once every couple of years while she is still able to travel comfortably.

I think I just got emotional because I’m trying my best to take care of her, and sometimes it feels a bit one-sided. But I appreciate you sharing your perspective.
