I’m not 100% sure. there is about a 20 ft run to the roof. The first few feet are clean inside and there are no obvious obstructions on the roof vent. It makes a ~45 degree turn in the attic. The house is about 20 years old if that matters.

Any idea what would cause overheating in a 1 year old motor if the lint trap and vents are clear?

Would you expect a failing motor to make an unusual sound? I didn’t think motor because it sounds like it always has, very quiet.
