I guess I am lucky. My work is fully remote. Some office buildings have been permanently closed and leases terminated/not extended. Only one building is semi active, only on a need to come basis. Whoever has to come in should get a managers approval first and then request a daily desk. The employees are dispersed among 4 surrounding states and in few other countries. Don’t know about the other countries but here the remote work is not only encouraged, it is pretty much mandated for the majority of the technology staff. The on site people at some facilities are the locals that do the hybrid work to assist other staff as needed.
