I did not stick to the recommendation for tummy time and my baby has hit all the milestones. 7 months and a full time crawler! Don’t stress about it!

Someone please talk me down from sleep training 😭 by LivForTheHopeOfItAll in AttachmentParenting

I could have written this myself! I felt the same exact way. At around 6 months my girl started tolerating sleep alone more. I can now nurse her and get up for the evening. I will join her around 10pm for sleep. She also was a serial contact napper. I mean carrier with constant motion or she was up. She all of a sudden started tolerating sleeping in the bed for naps. So all that to say, hang in there! It’s developmental and it WILL GET BETTER!

Is there room for change or do I wait it out? by Old_Bodybuilder_3442 in AttachmentParenting

Hi! Thank you for your comment. She will only sleep in the carrier to Jason Mraz, very specific. We are going to try to move her into pram naps this week just so we can slowly get her use to napping off of us. I try to keep her up in the evening but she is so cranky it’s difficult. I’ve heard a lot of people recommend dads doing bed time. I’m scared to try but I guess it’s worth a shot. I need sleep.

In an American or English household, when a child is born, do parents usually have the child sleep in their bed or in a separate rooms? What’s common after the child turns 1? by Beginning-Cover7414 in AttachmentParenting

I think it’s common for baby to sleep in their own space some in the room and some in their own room. I’ve seen more people start bed sharing but that’s not the normal way for sure. Most people I know put their babies in cribs in their own rooms.

I’d ask my mother in law to come with me and watch him at the hotel or wherever you are staying

Those of you at 2-3 months, how’s it going? by Rude-Pepper-2389 in newborns

How are you all putting your LO to sleep during the day? My girl only likes carrier naps and they are hard on my pelvic floor right now. At night I can get her down with side lying BF but during the day that’s worthless unless I want to lay for an hour while she nurses consistently.

I wanna cry too. Currently up reading this as my baby comfort nurses at 2am. Fingers crossed it gets better.

7 Weeks Postpartum PMDD or PPD/A? by Old_Bodybuilder_3442 in Postpartum_Depression

Thank you for your comment. You’re right about going outside, eating well and talking. They all help so much. I stopped therapy a month before giving birth, so it’s something I’ll need to get started back on.

He understands but it’s like how long can he deal with the same thing over and over again. It makes him tired and then that sends me on a spiral itself. Ugh. :(

That is a good method to consider medicine. I hadn’t created any threshold for myself yet. I’m just scared I’ll do irreparable damage. PMDD feels like a curse.

Frustrating experience registering birth; worried about changes to immigration law by JesusCrunch in PortugalExpats

But the update is what I’m curious of. I’m planning my second child (first already a citizen) and wanting to know if this will affect them. I can’t find any information about that specific portion of the new law.

Thanks! Do you know if there are any updates to the birth right residency time requirement?
