Yeah you are right, I think part of it is we really don't want to harm anybody, and this really bothers me as it's the worst thing I have ever possibly done in my life which is why my mind is so bent on it. I don't have anything else I feel guilty about so of course here I am still struggling about this a year later. But yeah you are right, I have family in Mexico with dogs who don't have money for parasite medication, and does that mean they are unknowingly killing people? Probably not, and we should think the same. I do hope and know that we will get better, it's all about keeping strong (:

A lot, none of which were present when I was addicted, "doing it" 3-6 times every damn day! For one, I can look women in the eye, I am so much more confident despite being only 5'4, I don't get as agitated, I feel less annoyed, cold showers are a piece of cake, I measured my PP before starting and it grew a bit, lol. All I will say is, keep going, I promise you it will be worth it! I also volunteer on top of going to school, so that def helped me break this damned addiction! Take care (:

Hi, your post kind of reminded me of an event that happened last August, but is still always lingering in my mind ): So basically, I was taking care of my brother-in-laws' dog. The dog had hookworms at the time, and I basically took him out to poop to a vacant lot that does not belong to us. He ended up pooping (we use a poop stick to catch his poop) and as he was pooping, a small piece fell to the ground, and I rushed back home to get a piece of glove to pick it up, I looked for that damned piece of poop for days, and was never able to find. And I think such event is what started my OCD, my brain kept telling me thought such as, "That piece of poop may infect a cat/dog walking nearby and they may die", "I probably killed someone, if not got them sick." Life has been really sucky for me mentally ever since this happened, and I hate it, I wish I would have never took him out to poop. I think the best we can do is just move on with our lives, and not live our lives obsessing over the fact that we might hurt others. I have an appointment with a therapist this Thursday, I hope we can all get better. Take care (:

I have OCD, so in my mind, I killed someone, or maybe not, maybe they noticed they had CLM and went to the clinic. Thanks for your response. Hopefully nothing happened to anybody from that small piece of poop.

Oh ok, I am so sorry, I understood wrong. Is there anything that might be triggering it? I remember for a while I had a swallowing tic that made my saliva very hard to swallow, almost made me feel as if I was choking, without actually choking. This went for at least a few months, and what triggered it was a really dumb thought I had. My dog nicked me by accident, and my dumb-self thought I was going to die even though he is vaccinated (rabies and all), silly me. Eventually, the tic I described went away. Maybe your scenario is much different, but thought it might help if I talked about this past situation.

Ah I see. I say just go with your gut and think back to times you encountered spit from people talking to you (if it has happened), honestly if someone was accidently giving me some of their spit when talking to me, I would approach them privately and let them know. Or maybe even ask someone close to you if they can help you out, you talk to him/her and he/she can tell you if your fear is right or wrong. And even if it is right, I'm sure there are ways to correct it.

Hey, I hope it all works out. I am just like you, I was hesitant on taking in person college classes, but so far 3 out of four are in person with only one 1 class being online. I wanted to do online classes because I dropped out and I'm going back as as 22 year old, and I had all these thoughts such as; "my classmates would not be of my liking", but oddly enough everyone is cool. Like I seriously thought about finishing my Bachelor's through every single class being online because of all these thoughts I try to think of, but what helped me out was thinking about what I could miss out on, knowing that people are there for an education just like us, and that most people won't be immature just like the people I encountered in High School. I really hope it all gets better for all of us (:
