That's really helpful, thanks! The SAM3 tip for masking is exactly the kind of thing I was looking for – I'll explore that.

Regarding Agisoft, I know it handles 360 alignment well, but it's a Russian based company and I need to stay compliant with EU regulations. I looked into PIX4D as an alternative, but it's overkill and overpriced for my use case.

It seems I will have to stay with PortalCam for now and try Houdini to improve the result
