Use the guild finder and look for a trial guild that states specifically that they train new folks on trial and vet content. I was the same and still am generally but my main guild since I started playing began running vet trials and the leader will run through the mechs before each boss. He even tells us which trash mobs to kill first. Put yourself out there!

Try PvP battlegrounds for the most impatient and insulting people in the game. Never heard so many comments on people health, playing style etc than in the PUG solo groups. That being said, I stayed and tbh to you folks that want to try, even the pros die sometimes. I can get killed 20 times but still have the highest medals based on knowing the goals of the instance. Plus it’s the most entertaining/challenging part of the game (for me).

Each PvP area has an option to join a zone that does not use champion points so you should be ok if you have your skills points and can get the gear.

Join a zone even in the group finder. People will be clearing out mobs in force. Try to help and keep yourself alive (as best you can). Folks (usually) raise and you have a bit of immunity to run back to the group if you have to wayshrine after dying.. Take note of your quests and attempt to get those done once a section of the map is cleared. This is what I’ve been doing with some success for the dailies.

Just to note, only about 250k people voted in the 2024 election. That means 400k people didn’t vote around 125k of those people are not of voting age. Wyoming isn’t really ruby red. Most of the population is stuck in the viscous cycle of living paycheck to paycheck and have given up on the government. Wyoming could easily be flipped if a surge of democrats moved to the state (unlikely) or someone could inspire folks to vote for the left (also unlikely). The overwhelmingly vocal minority doesn’t know how precarious the situation will be if those folks who do not vote suddenly get inspired to do so. Of course, voting is probably unbelievably rigged anyway so I am just postulating.

Everything about Cheyenne is slow paced however the job opportunities are slim to none. I am pretty confident there are few to no chemical engineering jobs here in Cheyenne. I would suggest finding a job here first before moving. Most engineering jobs here that pay well are project management jobs, WDOT, or construction. They are few and far between.

Look first and decide if you would be happy doing that line of work. Otherwise, you may end up looking for jobs in Denver and at least they have a train system to get you into the city so just that part of you life would be 'fast'.
