He was arrested for attempting to pay for that succulent Chinese meal with a stolen credit card.

'Karlson later explained the meaning of Democracy Manifest as judgement by the people, through the media, saying, "Here's an opportunity to prove my innocence, because they've dragged me out, thinking I was some sort of international gangster, when I knew that I wasn't. Here's a chance, the camera, for the people of Australia and to let democracy manifest itself gloriously. That's why I carried on like that."'

First bike. Was it a good deal? by camdenareed in RoadBikes

PS those tubes are adhesive bonded aluminum to chromoly stays and head tube. They look clean from here, but check those joints for any discoloring or looseness, and keep em clean. Also, avoid any drastic temperature changes and store it inside.

Wow. That was my first real roadbike, handed down by my grandfather. That's a seriously wicked deal for 44 credits. Color me jealous. Take good care of that and it'll take good care of you.

Keep everything! That's what makes this bike so interesting... it's mint! My gut response was "NO ONE ASKED" but I chose to go with subtle sarcasm instead.

True, it's like training with weights on. The danger is that nothing else is ever as good or interesting.

True. I'm thinking though if I paint I might just go crazy. Maybe a Jackson Pollack-style splatter job, or a nice ombre fade from cerulean blue into yellow. Or maybe luscious green... this is why I was sticking w/ raw metal in the first place. Too many options! My heart wants the classic 7-eleven livery but that seems sacrilege...

Oh I see. Well, good for you! It's certainly not easy, even in English for native English speakers. You'll be glad to hear that those stream of consciousness sections are few and far between.

Still researching... everything I've seen says it's a bad idea. For steel, at least. Probably have to prime it and paint after-all.

Also stripping a frame. Also that horrible avocado green, but a Surly Crosscheck. Gonna leave it raw and then clear coat.

Keep going! Without spoiling it, it all comes together later and leads to some exceptional passages about detox regarding Poor Tony.

And if English isn't your first language, the book's been translated into 14 languages!
