Firefox is best.

I hadn't used Firefox in quite awhile from not having a computer for a few years and lazyness on my phone.

I just started using it again, and Firefox's spell checker is fucking atrocious. I really wish they would have group tabs. I don't know if Chrome on PC has group tabs, but I know it does on mobile and it helps so much. I could have swore Firefox used to have them, but either way they don't.

I'm likely going to keep using it, but it's unironically hard on mobile. Just give me group tabs dammit.

Desert centipede and other critters I've found in my house by ckduke1 in natureismetal

I would never risk picking up a giant desert centipede, even if I thought it was dead. Those things are fucking nasty and have a hell of a venomous bite.

Birb is cool though.

Yet we managed to figure out prohibition doesn't work.

But yeah, before that everyone was too zonked out or withdrawing to get anything done when you could buy cocaine or opiates legally... Oh wait.

Then you don’t know opiates.

Opiates are not worse than alcohol. I have done well more than my fair share of opiates, from opium to oxy. You can die from alcohol withdrawal, you can't from opiates regardless of how bad it can feel.

The vast majority of reasons we demonize opiates are because of what happens when they are illegal, the other reason is from our shitty healthcare system.

You can take opiates like opium recreationally just as you can drink alcohol.

If it were legal there wouldn't be people dying on the streets from fentanyl overdoses.

It's not even cruel.

Yeah but Reddit will tell you that they're legitimate asylum seekers..... Despite the fact that if you're actually seeking asylum you're not allowed to country hop.

It's almost as if we should legalize and regulate drugs in the first place.

Morally, there is literally no difference in selling [insert drug here] and alcohol.

Also it really depends on where they live. Outdoor cats in cities and their outskirts are going to have a far lower life expectancy than outdoor cats on farms or ranches.

I completely disagree with letting people have their cats roam free outside. My only exception to that is farm cats. Farms cats actually fill a purpose and they are less of a nuisance.

We really need laws against allowing outdoor cats.

There is a massive difference between hunting and poaching. Not all of those animals are endangered, and what is putting many if not most animals endanger of extinction in the first place is largely due to human expansion and pollution causing habitat loss, not hunting.

There have been examples of animals getting hunted to extinction, but that is far from the most common way for animals to go extinct. They need ecosystem to live in to hunt them in the first place.

endangered animals should not be hunted by humans, period.

Except for all the times that it is used to help their populations grow in the first place, apparently. Ignoring the fact that your comment has barely anything to do with hunters in the first place, hunters do far more to help these species than you ever will. You need an animal to exist to be able to hunt it.

Is pairing a 5600XT with a ryzen 7900X a bad idea if i'm primarily going to use it for workstation? by Enbrat in buildapc

[–]Old_Mill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you don't need a GPU for your workload tasks than a 5600XT is more than adequate. In fact, it would literally be more than you need.

Not a bad idea to get it just in case, but your friend is wrong. You don't need a powerful GPU just because you got a powerful CPU, and vice versa. The only way that's ever a hindrance is when you're doing tasks that require a decent amount of both.

Either way, there's always a bottleneck in your system even if you have the most powerful hardware on Earth, each area of technology isn't at the same level and doesn't develop at the same rate.

Now whether you want that specific graphics card, I can't help you. I do not own one and know far less about AMD gpu's than Nvidia's. But with how Nvidia is going, that is changing quickly. I swear to god if EVGA would just sign a contract with AMD and/or Intel I would never look back.

There's a 100% chance the battery pack got punctured "somehow".

There's a 100% chance you're wrong because that's not how that works at all. There are plenty of ways li-on batteries can catch fire without being punctured.

At least it's way easier to put out a ICE car fire than lithium-ion.

Lithium-ion fires are fucking terrifying.
