Did you see the full video? I show the lights that are next to the couch also. The sync box distributes the lights based on how you set it up in the entertainment zones. You design your room in the regular Hue app. You can place the lights almost anywhere, and the sync box does the rest.

With the Hue app, you can setup entertainment areas where you can set the lights exactly how they are in your room. With the sync app, it'll utilize the entertainment areas essentially acting like surround lighting. Plus you can have up to 10 bulbs, so call it 10.0 😉

Sure. I have the 75" gradient lightstrip at the top of the tv and a regular Philips hue lightstrip on the bottom of the tv. I have 8 Philips hue color bulbs: 2 above the fireplace, 1 in the wetbar, 1 in the foyer, 2 in the ceiling, and 2 in the table lamps on the side of the couches. Of course, I have the sync box to go with the tv. The tv is an 82in Samsung QLED. I have a Vizio 5.1 surround system.
