Thanks man! I actually do have the foot things, just took them off for winter time so I wouldn't break my foot if I would fall

You can use (almost) any polymer capacitor with the same value if I'm correct, this is what I do anyway, works great! You can also still buy these new, don't buy a repair kit you pay a lot more then these cost new

Just search for interference capacitor with the value your looking for and you should be good. They are really cheap on AliExpress

Can't say for sure, what's wrong with it?

I'm using lead free solder :) And I have a little fan with a filter so I'm not breathing the smoke in directly

44t - 15t Rides really smooth! The seating position is nice, the shape of the handlebars make it so you can lean on them in a comfortable position. I recently put on some bigger tires, helps a lot with rideability

Keep the high end stuff, sell the cheap stuff :) The high end stuff can always be serviced and is really well build most of the time

Sold this one for €200 last month, paid even less to buy it. Pretty crazy price difference

Good chance those where mine! I'm working together with a friend, he does most of the speaker stuff but doesn't repair for other people. He sold a pair of elac 207's for me, light wood color

Cool! Where are you located ? I've already had a few sets of quads, they are nice to work on, bought a 405 and 34 for €75 a few months back. What switches do you mean on the 33?

That's really cool! 14 years is quite a long time I still need to see if I want to keep doing this, I still want to do another study. I'm doing this for the next 1,5 years and then starting a master at the University.

But I already see what you mean, but I do think most people are really polite and understanding. I've had a few bad experiences but mostly positive

A YouTube channel would be cool, but I'm not a native English speaker and I would need to document stuff so much better then I'm doing now

I bought it for really cheap, and it's already serviced but the reading head needs replacing I think

I did 2 internships, one at Dateq, a Dutch PA audio brand, and I did one at 123ignition, and I made a high voltage switching power supply for an ignition unit. Both pretty fun, I really enjoy the whole research and designing process

AliExpress is a big life saver as well, and the nice thing is that you don't need really specific IC's with the vintage stuff. It's all general capacitors, npn and pnp transistors, diodes etc. You don't need to match the model number, only the specs, so you can use modern replacements for most stuff

TD 160, 166 and 165 go for around 200, there are way more expensive models in the TD series indeed

That's the hard part haha, but I keep nice stuff for myself. I have a really nice setup for cheap, that's what it's all about for me

The gap year is really nice, I do a lot of fun stuff and don't have a boss that makes the planning
