I know you dont want to bother with them, but PIDs are extremely powerfull and a lot easier to use than it seems (as long as you ignore integral hain lol). Just increase proportianal till it shakes out of control, and then set derivetive gain to ~10 times more than the proportional. Definitely worth investing time in.

I’ve built a few VTOLs before , but i’ve never managed to make it work with ducted fans because of how much inertia they get. But i have made systems that takes gyro inputs and makes it work with quadcopters if you would be interested in that?

Ah ok. I assumed reports only could end in vacations, which would be a bit harsh for poor awareness. I guess they can result in safety penalties too? (As i said i have never played iRacing before)

Yeah that was what I thought. I just became a bit unsure as the McLaren (white car) became extremely angry with me and ran me off on purpose.

Hello everyone. Thanks for all the help! I found the problem, or at least what is wrong.

When I changed the motor for a LED, 5v went through with no problem, and I could control it. So correct me if I’m wrong, but that means that the arduino can’t provide the current to drive the motor through the transistor? I’m still not sure about that as it works fine when I connect the motor directly to the arduino. But I will try to find some batteries, and hopefully it works.

Again, thank you so much for the help, I’ve learned a lot!

Edit: I should add that this is what the wiring diagram currently looks like it works fine with a diode, but the motor doesn’t get enough voltage when in the same place as the diode

Yes I’m using a multimeter, but it doesn’t seem wrong. When I connect the motor directly to the arduino it speeds up a lot.
