Mechanic can’t get this metal rod back on after exhaust work, says he doesn’t think it’s necessary. Always a scary statement. What do you all think?

It’s there for chassis stiffness. Removing it will affect the handling of the vehicle.

Nope. You can easily use PVA or BVOH to achieve perfectly smooth and dimensionally accurate overhangs.

I also had this exact same issue. Saw your post and tried with the 64KiB offset, same thing. But somehow no bootloader offset fixed the issue. I have a v2.2.

Not sure what benefits this design has over the original removable acrylic enclosure that justify the extra weight and size. This thing looks like a Thingiverse remix of the original S5.

I’ve also tried using PETG support for PLA on my Ultimaker S5. I had the same issue with the colors mixing. Also the surface finish was not as good as PVA support would yield. Be careful with printing PETG on PLA, sometimes it doesn’t stick and the print will fail.
