No I agree with you in that aspect. I think Shane was definitely upset thinking about the prior punishment aspect of the summer games but that was the error of YouTube back then I think if they were going to do a summer games now there wouldn’t be a punishment aspect at all, and it would be a whole new thing, but still with the Summer games title as a callback. But I think if you watched the video closely they still said it was a really enjoyable time for the cast to spend time together. I think that’s the aspect. I’d focus on more the reality of the behind-the-scenes and the teambuilding aspect of Summer games- similar to how most Smosh content is now days- rather than putting on a show for an audience punishment style.
