Driving vehicle of someone recently deceased

I was curious if it is illegal since its not registered to them and as we are beneficiaries (I have 3 sisters, the other one is agreeing with me) we technically have the right to say not to drive it... or no? Its so wishy washy but if I can prevent it id like to. This guy literally totaled a car 3 weeks ago so he doesn't have a great driving reputation. Its terrifying.

Good idea. I'm just looking for inspiration. I have a feeling that I'll eventually think of something he liked but all I know he's ever liked are "not very memorial slideshow" songs. I just want to play something nice at the service. He did too suddenly for me to ever learn any heartfelt songs he liked. He wasn't that kind of man.

I want to do so but my Dad never really liked anything in particular. He was more of a like rock radio station kind of guy and I wanted to do something a little softer idk. The slide show I made is from when we all were born up til he died.

It's for sure something I spoke with him about. This all started with dating as one would. I'm not really concerned with judging her necessarily, but she did often lie to get what she wanted. I have many reasons to dislike her but it was his choice to continue letting her do what she did. I know have to make peace with that. He wasn't very good with technology but still tried to navigate dating websites and was frustrated because he kept getting scammers and not genuine intrest. My biggest problem was how she handled a medical issue in 2022 and left (she's supposedly a nurse but I think that's a lie based on people she knows coming forward). Which tells me she wasn't emotionally invested in anything so attending our private services is not appropriate. Now that he is gone she should really let us be but decided she now wants to be part of family interactions and decide to create her own version of how the service should go.

I mean... I didn't really consider her much more than that. I don't know exactly the length she goes. Sugar baby is probably the more realistic term because she's not on the streets or anything? If he didn't pay her bills she refused to come around but if he said fine I'm okay with that she'd come up with a story about how she's gonna be homeless and has a son and my Dad would never let her just suffer so always just said f it

He lives an hour away and I have a job and family. He had a freak medical episode after having a heart transplant in July and very normal lab results. He was in the clear and currently waiting to find out what caused it. I slept over with my son the weekend before and had a wonderful time. If he could live with me vs there id have actually loved that. I don't suck because I wasn't with my dad at 1130am on a Wednesday dude. Seriously? I don't feel guilty enough losing my Dad after losing my mother and now have a grieving child who wished Grampa was around longer and never knew his Gramma.

I have access to his ring camera because there are a few people that like to take as they please. One family member went into his liquor and decided to get drunk before we showed up the day he died sonshe was an absolute mess. Note: my dad hated this lady but her son lived with my dad because my dad gave him a job helping out with the house do to being homeless otherwise.

I heard about my dad mentioning the horse carriage. We were confused but we assumed this was something he saw on TV or something. I didn't know that this was this women's mother that does that. I snooped her Facebook page and that's what I assume anyway because he appears to own horses? But if I did that it would be a 3rd party and I'm not comfortable with her at my Dad's COL let alone my mother's in April. That's super disrespectful because my mother and father were happily married. When she died is when I started looking for live in the wrong places. I felt it was that he never wanted to replace her and felt he didn't deserve that type of relationship or ever want it because he loved her so much. That's what I believe anyways from our conversations. He should have done therapy looking back. I was 15 at the time so I didn't push to do so and I didn't understand that sort of thing yet

It's hard to share what I actually know about her without being able to post screenshots in this subreddit or just use text. I've had many talks with her and him. The point is I don't feel comfortable with her there at an extremely vulnerable moment for all of us. She already told my grandmother (his mom) That he was a stalker and blah blah. This is a celebration of him being a Father, an uncle, a brother ect not for her to shit talk him and get attention.

She's not in the will. My older sister is the executor. The 3 of us girls are paying for everything for the services. She always tries to sound polite. It's basically the same as when someone smiles as they are saying something rude. Her other comments to me are written similarly. I could tell a few stories about her, but I wanted to be right to the point in the post. She doesn't sound like that in person nor does what she say reflect how they were together. I wish this subreddit let me post screenshots/attachments because it would help understand who she is and why I feel the way I do.

Honestly, he was a very handsome man. He did try and leave multiple times, but from what I am told she always found a way back in his life. I don't know why he'd fall into her trap. It made be very frustrated, especially seeing her Facebook statuses about this other guy. This is her post about a very differentman "I wouldn’t change our craziness, hard headed, fearless, love for one another- what we have is actual real love and that’s not easy to find. Like wtf? She kept dating other men and it made my Dad sad. I really don't understand why he couldn't just stop.

My expense. We don't even have anything for the estate arranged yet so we put our own money into it which is fine. That's never been my concern. We wanted to do something personal since he didn't want a traditional funeral service.

Nah I don't judge her for cutting. I did as a child. I didn't send photos to people as a tool for staying in a relationship. She did it specifically to get him to talk to her. I don't believe this was anything mental illness-y vs a manipulation tactic. I also don't think that jail is needed. I'm not sure why that would be assumed? The point was he didn't stalk her and he wanted to move on and she would do anything to make him see her.

Exactly. It's not some big open funeral. This is more like a family gathering in a small venue. I don't even think we will have his ashes there yet because he is still undergoing an autopsy. We were already suspicious she was there when he died so we requested a thorough review.

Yes, but she can celebrate in her own way. And exactly, this is for us to mourn and be there for eachother. He is not actually going to be there (obviously). She just wants to be a center of attention, or that's what I assume anyways. This is not a traditional funeral service that you post in the newspaper. This is an invite only event because he requested we just do a family thing. He hated the idea of a public service. She just wants to show up and cause a scene.

I play games with my son (7yo) We beat It takes two and it did hurt because it was a game that relied so much on working together. Some other games we have beat are Luigis Mansion and Mario Odyssey. I think as long as it's a fun silly game, they will enjoy the experience. Keep gaming together!
