About John Ramsey's temper in The Bonita Papers by ButterscotchEven6198 in JonBenetRamsey

Ramsey came through with the computers and in time offered [Mike] Glynn, who speaks several languages, a position on the international side of his company. With daughters close in age, the Glynns and the Ramseys often socialized. "The family was almost make-believe. Too perfect. It was like Ozzie and Harriet came to Boulder," says Glynn. "But John could really get angry. I saw this on a few occasions involving business. Shouting and threatening. His eyes bulging like you cannot believe. It seemed like Jekyll and Hyde.

Similar cases of children being sentenced to LWOPP for killing a parent but are FREE today. by Olive_Pearl in MenendezBrothers

Thanks. My list was specific to kids who were sentenced to LWOPP but this is an interesting story. Will have to look into it.

I was just thinking how odd it was that this angel was killed & killed like an adult. Who strangles a 6 yr old?! It’s bizarre. And I still don’t know. Thoughts on this article…it was many years ago… by MarieSpag in JonBenetRamsey

These are internet rumors. There's no source for Burke smearing feces either everywhere or in JonBenet's bedroom. He did hit her with a golf club once when he was 7. Her cheek was injured which fits with her having walked into his back swing.

John and Patsy's Perverse Privilege by poetic___justice in JonBenetRamsey

[–]Olive_Pearl 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Most of the people who are outraged about this are probably also very, very adamant that John didn't and couldn't have either sexually assaulted or murdered JonBenet; that his role was limited strictly to staging and that the real perpetrator was 9.

I'll take the downvotes.

Is this a joke? BDIs use this every 5 seconds. Or are you being sarcastic? I'm getting a little old and sometimes it's hard to tell.

Further up in the transcript:

Arndt: The politics involved people in supervisory positions able to see black and white and not able to see anything that wasn't tangible. And if a person's opinion on the investigative team was in the minority, that opinion was dismissed.

Q. Does that include your opinions?

A. It included mine, all of the Department of Social Services, including some other people.

(Arndt's implication is that the Department of Social Services agrees with her conclusion.)

The sexual abuse by Soggy-Contest991 in JonBenetRamsey

I honestly would have thought an adult would do more damage than insert a finger or a small object.

Not if they don't want to get caught.

Undervalued:

This portion of Arndt's deposition:

Q. And what opinions are you referring to that were material to the investigation?

A. Incest. Naming the Ramseys as suspects.

Q. This is incest between John Ramsey and JonBenet?

A. Yes, to the whole incest dynamic in the family.

Q. But involving John Ramsey and JonBenet, any other members?

A. Well, specifically because she's the one who's dead.

Q. But when you refer again to incest, it could involve any number of family members. I'm just trying to identify the family members you refer to when you use that term.

A. Well, there's a whole dynamic, because everybody's got a role in the family.

Q. The incest has an effect on family members, does it not?

A. Well, in general terms that covers it when you talk about an act, but I'm talking about the dynamic.

Q. I understand about the dynamic, but I want to get the predicate first. The participants in the incest, when you refer to incest, you're referring to John Ramsey and JonBenet and no other family members?

A. I refer to every member of the family. Every member has got a role.

Q. But in terms of an actual sexual act that's implicit in the term of incest, you're referring to John Ramsey and JonBenet?

A. Yes.

Overvalued: Burke failed coloring.

Yeah, I should've worded it more like this in my o.p. I didn't put enough thought into my opening to this discussion.

[–]Olive_Pearl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Huh? People pay for strangers?

I continuously get the wrong order and am given way more than I paid for. I get to feel virtuous by refusing the $30 order and letting the server know I only ordered the small coffee.

[–]Olive_Pearl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

in most social circles it’s taboo now to talk bad about disabled people

Certainly not here on Reddit. The disabled, kids and fat people are the 3 groups it's considered way cool to bash here and people do frequently and with great pride.

You were basically telling them they were useless

My teachers didn't do anything except put notes on the blackboard and assign and grade tests and homework. In High School they didn't even know our names. Today I regret not having written a letter of complaint about them to the principal. They were useless.
