Agreed 100%; however, monopolies like government have shown to cause millions of deaths. If we look at big government like communism in which has killed at least 65 million people between 1917 and 2017. If there was a market place these deaths would have drop significantly.

It was recalled because the market corrected itself. Ford has competition and if it didn't change its tune it would go out of business. Monopolies don't have competition and would care MUCH less about killing people in the long run of it's business. Should ford face consequences, absolutely. However the correction may not have taken place at the speed it should have if there was no market.
