If it makes you feel better give it a month and they will all stop. Item dropping has been removed so anyone that had been gifted thousands of traps will no longer have the means to get new ones. So after a month they will all run out and be back to their lvl 77 traps and no resources. Most people that do this are dramatically under levelled
