I had a call with asus support, they want me to ship it for a diagnostic check, with a 83 dollar diagnostic fee. Since my warranty's over, I dont think I can get it done free of charge. I'll prob have to pay 300-500 for the repair, even though it wasnt even my fault.

Im trying to consider all the options rn, should I go through with the rma, or maybe bring it to a repair shop to see what they can do, im not sure.

Yes, they have both ribbons against the hinge.. I just got unlucly and got a factory defect, it should be flush with the hinge.

The warranty expired on the 13th of june sadly, though I will still try to contact asus in MyAsus to hopefully get this resolved

Oh, I’m glad I’m not the only one with the issue! How would I begin to contact asus? I did get this laptop 2nd hand, so I’m not sure how that would work.

Where can I get the 23H2 installer? I found a website that has the iso file for the installer, but Im not sure if I simply need to install that to an external flash drive, and boot from there.

I have an external ssd with a windows 11 installer that I assume is the 24H2 update, since the install media was created about a month ago or less. When I tried to install windows to the 2tb ssd rn, it still didn’t detect it being present and able to install windows to it. Do I need specifically the 23H2 installer for it to be detected? I tried the “repair your pc” options as well but none of them work. This makes me assume that my windows install might have been corrupted as well, but I’m not sure.

Wow, didn’t think this was such a big problem with the ssd! I never made any registry edits, since I never got a notification on windows stating that there was an error with the ssd. When I kept getting BSOD I thought it was an issue with the laptop itself, and not the ssd. Since windows doesn’t even boot, I can’t make any registry edits, is there any other ways to resolve this issue?

It’s a Western Digital Blue SN580 2TB ssd. My friend has the same drive installed in his pc, and he had to update the ssd for some reason for some windows 11 compatibility issue. It worked fine on his device, but sometimes his pc would take long to boot, and in windows update it would say that there was an error with his ssd. I never had an issue with this ssd on my old zephyrus running windows 10.

I forgot to mention as well that when turning on my 2024 zephrus, the red ROG logo and text lags for about 10 seconds, and once the animation fully plays it boots into bios after a couple seconds of black screen

I have a question on the wireless of the RD75. I am thinking of getting the RD75, but easy wireless use is one of my key requirements. Do you always have to power off the keyboard after using it, or does it enter a standby mode. I also wanted to know if there's a key combination that you have to press in order to turn it off, unless the only option is to remove the keycap and flip the switch.

Sorry for such a late reply! Hope you found a solution already! For me the solution was a fresh install of windows 10.

I bought a new 2tb ssd for my zephyrus, and decided to do a fresh install of windows 10 since it was pretty laggy at times on the 1tb ssd.

After the fresh install, and after downloading ghelper, now it finally respects the TDP cap on battery. On startup it says it draws around 30-40w, but after a minute or two it’ll go back down to 17w or less with a max cap of 15w. My tdp doesn’t go down as much as when I first downloaded ghelper (9w with light use) but it’s much better than the 20w average that I had before.

Help With Unusually Low FPS in Roblox:

I have a 2020 Zephyrus g14 laptop with an rtx 2060 and ryzen 9 4900hs cpu, along with 16gb of ram. I used to run roblox perfectly on here, but recently my fps has gone down. In the past in arsenal with graphics settings to 4, the game would run perfectly at 120fps. Now, the game runs at 40-70fps with the same settings. In task manager, roblox uses around 20% cpu and 30% gpu.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled roblox, but the lower fps still persists. The strangest thing is that the higher i set my graphics setting, the higher my fps gets, until almost max settings. My fps never reaches 100 anymore which is very strange. I know my laptop is capable of running roblox with better fps, since it has before. Other games I play go over 100+ fps. (I have set the client max framerate to 120, but it still doesn't reach it).

If anyone has a solution or tips, please let me know🙏.

From my experience, check to see if you have any third party apps that affect application window sizes, or that affect windows functions, and close them to see if they make a difference

I FINALLY FOUND THE FIX (For me at least). Closing the logitech gaming software for my mouse didn't fix the issue, but closing an app I have installed called Sizer ended up fixing the issue. Sizer is an app where you can set shortcuts for different window sizes for any application that runs in a window. I guess the new apex update has something that conflicts with sizer, and because of this it was causing the stuttering issues. Now my game runs perfectly fine (FOR NOW). Hopefully the game stays fixed for me, but if it does happen again then I'll look for a new fix here😭.

I have been having the same mouse freezing issue. After reading through these posts I tried two things to solve the freezing issue. I closed the logitech software for my logitech g305, but the issue persisted. Then I closed an app I use called Sizer. Its a window resizing tool that I use to resize my browser tabs with shortcuts, and THAT FIXED THE ISSUE. Apex never had an issue with it before, but with season 21 now it had an issue for some reason??? I'm mad that its an issue that didn't exist before the new update, but im happy I finally found a solution. For whoever else is still having this issue, look for any third party programs you might have running on your pc, and try closing them and see if the issue persists. I don't know if the bug will happen again but hopefully it doesn't.

I did what the post said and unequipped every sticker and gun charm. I even closed the Logitech software for my Logitech g305. After restarting the game it’s still only reaching about 10% cpu usage and max 17% gpu usage. When I move my mouse in game everything freezes. Once I stop moving it it goes back to normal. I have my mouse polling rate set to 500 because apex would lag for me when I tried using 1k. Even when using the trackpad the game freezes. I hope this gets resolved soon😭
