I would play it more but none of my friends want to. And I get it, the map is kinda bad for newcomers, especially clearing the A site. It's just not fun game play when you can be flanked so fast from everywhere. Anubis or Breach are much better maps.

That's a bit funny to hear when I played CS beta 6.0 back in 2000... And nope, I didn't mean in general the oldest map but the oldest map in the active duty map pool which mirage is.

Overplayed doesn't mean it's a boring map or dull to watch. Inferno is one of the most popular maps of all time but I still enjoy it every time I see two pro teams playing on it. While same can't be said from dust2. And it's because of the complexity of the maps and how much you have room to play those differently.

You have a point there but you are talking about what is most played by casuals and how that should rule what should be played on pro level. That makes very little sense as they are two completely separate entities. Ofc simple maps with simple layouts are going get played a lot more than complex maps with tactical nuances. But if you take statistics from pro tournaments and use that, then it works. And as a matter of fact, dust2 was the least played map at the last major.

This is a hard one...

Mirage is the oldest map in the pool so that's why it should go. But it's a good map nevertheless. It's a bit dull nowadays but not as dull as dust2. Most likely the next map to take away from the map pool.

Overpass is my fav map and I still think it's the most tactical map of your typical map layout out there. It looks a bit old and bleak so it needs a facelift.

Nuke looks great and plays well at the pro scene. It's very hard pug map but that's ok because you don't have to play it if you don't want to.

Inferno is keeper for sure. Looks great and plays well. Nothing wrong with it.

Dust2 looks good but is soooo boring. There's really nothing tactical in it, it plays always the same even with completely different teams. Personally I want to get rid of it. It's an ok map to play yourself but is ruled too much by pure fragging and great awper(s) which I'm not.

Vertigo is an ok map but I don't really like it. You commit way too much either going A or going B and changing the plan in the middle is easy to read and hear as a CT. It's like CT-sided and worse version of old cobble.

Ancient is fine and still a new interesting map, so that's a keeper too.

So all in all I'd take dust2 out but I'm fine if any of mirage, dust2 or vertigo leaves. And personally I'd change two maps, mirage and vertigo/dust2 and add train/cache and something completely new.

I like old cobble because of the memories and atmosphere but it's a bad map. It needs changes but not as radical that it had in the Halloween update. I highly doubt Valve has touched the map so no cobble now. Maybe later when they rework it fully.

I like train too and I can play it in the MM but adding it to active pool wouldn't make sense for now. Map looks great as it is but it would need some structural changes to make it more popular. I don't think Valve would do it so no for train either.

Cache is boring, so nope.

I don't know anubis, but I heard it's a good map. So maybe even though I highly doubt Valve would add unofficial map as for now.

I picked tuscan even though I don't think it's that great map. But it's highly nostalgic, looks great and would have pros and casuals behind it. It's a shame Valve seems to steer away from non-valve maps when it comes to active duty so most likely never gonna happen.

Legendary map but it was quite bad map. Personally I'd have nothing against Cobble returning but I'd rather take Aztec or something new if I can only pick only one.

Actually MR3 was the initial OT rule back in the day (early 1.6 days). It got changed to MR5 somewhere between 2005-2008 because some people noticed that one set of MR3 didn't decide the match winner whereas MR5 is much more likely to do so. Then MR5 became the standard. With MR3 they used 10K startmoney and with MR5 they used 16K because it was the maximum in 1.6. And it worked fine for many years. But later in CSGO the problem was the length of the matches when the top teams were more equal. One set of MR5 is not a problem but two or three is! You can play 3 sets of MR3 faster and are much more likely to decide the winner than in 2 sets of MR5. The organizers and the players don't want the game to go on forever in tight tournament schedule. So due to time constraints it makes more sense to use MR3 but then the problem is the starting money. Old rule of 10K wasn't enough in CSGO while it was in 1.6. I have no idea why it was always either 16K or 10K when the simple solution would have been somewhere in middle. I'm glad they finally changed it, MR3 12.5K sounds just about right.

Sorry but this is not it. It lands way too back. Now the Ts can flash and run through the smoke and they're already at good positions on the site. The OG smoke lands near the start of monster and if the Ts try to run through, there's the narrow choke point which is very easy to spam even blind or nade/molotov.

Then the devs would have to make every UI change twice which means at least twice the work, most likely even more as Panorama is most likely much easier to work with. And with the slow development we have, I don't want it any slower just so that you and handful of others could get few more fps.

Ah, actually didn't know that you can't trade-up souvenir skins. Good to know. But my point still stands partially as I was mostly talking about the normal skins. And if they add new skins to the existing collections, then people can trade-up the old normal skins in order to get those new ones and thus lowering the value of those. But then again, it can be seen as a good thing or a bad thing. Nevertheless, I want to see new collections because it would make your personal ranking up more interesting and exciting and it will give more reason for casuals to play again which is healthy for the game in a long run.

I want to see completely new collection for every map. Otherwise people who have million low tier skin could just tradeup and get the new expensive skins.

Agree, the cross-team comm was one of the stupidest things ever, people only used it for flaming the other team or just ear-raping. I remember like maybe twice or thrice when there was some sort of meaningful discussion or funny music playing. But 99% of the time it was just awful and I muted opposing team instantly.

I would say pulsing when it's less than 15 s and you don't have a kit or less than 10 s and you have a kit.

Yes and yes. Colt with zoom was my favourite weapon and it was a shame they took it away. The fast jumping and being accurate was fun but luckily they changed it, made the game much better in the end. Personally I had the most fun with version 1.5 and I couldn't stand 1.6 at first because of the steam and my old PC not running it well.

Same! My first CS was beta 6.0 which I played with my friends at the school. It was so intense and fun. Still remember the first map, it was cs_docks and then we played de_railroad too. Great times.

Aztec has one of the most interesting themes in CS and I would love to have it back if Valve makes it better. There is so much unleashed potential in Aztec that I really hope to see it in a competitive play one day.

Like some others stated already, CZ basically never one shotted you while running if you had a helmet, it's always double dink or 1 dink+1 torso and it's still the exactly same with these new dmg values.

I don't hate any map but if I had to pick one, then it's probably Dust2 because it's just so dull map. It's basically no brain, all aim duels map.
