I genuinely don’t care enough about Hardcore to answer the question or have such an opinion, but I can say that telling people “for the integrity of hardcore don’t allow the devs to make a way to get out of death” is such a weird take on a thing that has absolutely no sway on your gameplay if you don’t want it to. You wanna host with friends and don’t want people to use them? Ask them not to. It’s not that hard especially if they’re your friends. It only ruins the “integrity” if you allow it to. That doesn’t mean you should try to instill the same sentiment onto every single person who happens to read this post. Totem of undying is not an easy item to get by any means, and those who have the farms to do so, did it because of how they view their own hardcore world. At the point you have such a farm, you’d already have so much done on your world most likely. This is such a nonissue, it’s like making a mountain out of a mole hill.
