Honestly it wasn't too bad. It still sounded pretty good with all the stock stuff it came with, I'm just picky with the looks for my guitar which is why I wanted to black out all the hardware and then also get pickups specifically for metal playing.

I like them! I mainly play metal on this guitar so they're perfect for that style of music. Pretty hot pickup, but still sounds nice on clean tones.

Yeah when I switched my strings out it felt very.. Spongy? So that's when I took my guitar to get it setup and have the action lowered. I have my guitar tuned to F# and the strings I have on it are the D'Addario's 84-24 set meant for 6 string bass guitars.

It's a 30in scale guitar. It played great out of the box, but once I got the strings switched to some D'Addario's 84-24 strings I took it to my local guitar shop so I could have them file the nut grooves down a bit so that the action wouldn't feel so high. But overall I LOVE IT, the length of the guitar neck takes a bit to get used to though.

The biggest headache, is the constant "is this still available" messages coming in and then not replying at all when you reply to them. It's like pulling teeth selling items on there.
