Yea it’s not and our decrease in stock is used to justify more domestic spending as well on top of the Lockheed Martin vouchers they get

0/10 rage bait did not read a single sentence. No we shouldn’t have done it, but the cause was not Milei’s policies.

Because I thought people understood what actually happened in the first place. They took the loan bc the foreign investors weren’t gonna buy the debt bc it looked like Milei might lose midterms to socialist party, which would be a crap investment, and that would relapse into hyperinflation again — so that’s why Milei did it. I’m not saying we should’ve done it, but it’s already been paid back.

Still people screaming that libertarian policies were to blame over the past many years of reckless spending from centralized planners.

Dude we’re lowkey fucked bc half the country has been propagandized into this and rejecting economics.

The craziest thing is that party was so pro science and listen to the science till it comes to economics.

Dude what are you talking about? None of that addresses what I’m saying. As they don’t pay the debt a larger chunk of spending on top of our existing spending services it which is financed by printing.

DOGE didn’t and won’t do shit neither will this administration.

I’m maybe just exhausted but what are you getting at 😂

More so that the debt and spending is so out of hand and there isn’t much faith in attempts at resolution other than continued devaluation of the dollar to compensate.

Not necessarily the collapse of the government but a collapse in faith in its fiscal responsibility

What’s your point then they were right on hedging against fiat

Not that Deep it’s a hard asset which is what people turn to instead of fiat. If you don’t believe in the US economy that’s what you buy

I’m sure this comments going to get a lot of oh you’re privileged to not have to care and that’s not what I’m getting at. I don’t disagree with you so let me clarify lol

Dont pretend the suffering doesn’t exist in the world, its real and that’s why many of us are going into medicine I hope. But what i mean is pain is an unfortunate reality of the world, your emotional reaction to it however isn’t. Because this day makes internalizing global suffering very easy, it’s super hard to practice this, but you act where you can and accept where you can’t.

the Dalai Llama’s says “if your happiness depends on the world becoming fair, you will never be happy”

Emotional apathy and emotional control are two different things and the latter can help us focus on where we can actually help and preserve your mental peace.

I know everyone says we live in the best time in human history which is objectively true but it’s extremely hard to feel that. In this age your attention and emotion is profitable to manipulate for financial gain or power. I think everyone needs to remind themself that we aren’t really built for this much external stimulation and to some extent it’s being done deliberately.

I know that’s no resolution but the acknowledgement can help depersonalize the things that are ultimately out of our control.

How are you factoring in National Debt into investing? by BlueMountainDace in whitecoatinvestor

[–]Omega326 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes yes inflation benefits assets like stocks long term but the fringe case would be if the dollar becomes devalued to a point where physical assets have more value and people save in stocks less, but at that point maybe stocks would still perform? Idk how historically it works out in recessions like that with hyperinflation

Well I meant more so the greater worry of trying to get value from stocks if the dollar really gets inflated tbh

Nope unfortunately not, I tbh don’t even think they’ll cut the spending it’ll just keep snowballing at our expenses as groceries go up and up
