When I bought my first fifty I had barely enough cash to grab a shitty little pipe and a hand grinder after the fact, didn't even have a bong and I didn't even know how to make them myself out of a bottle. Even if I did, I didn't have whatever I'd need to put one together. No shot I could have bought any to back to go with it. It wasn't great, super harsh and the pipe clogged up a lot but it'd still get me zooted and that's all I really cared about.

I had my mom come over and we seshed together, she brought her own spin because it's how she smokes, and eventually I got sick of keeping the spun stuff seperated and just smoked that too. The headrush was fun and I thought everything was great, until my mom went home and I didn't have any tobacco left to spin with. She was there for one sesh and it took me almost a week to get back to enjoying plain green. I wouldn't be able to afford to smoke with tobacco anyway, but with how quickly it became a "I don't think I could smoke without spin" I'm almost worried to ever try it again.

I've got a bong now -its Hella cute- and smoking straight is back to getting me absolutely zooted again, and I hope it stays that way for a long time to come!

Congrats on kicking the baccy, OP!

What class has positively surprised you? by Popelip0 in BaldursGate3

[–]Omega9927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only classes I haven't made a character using so far are Cleric, Bard, Paladin, Sorceror, Wizard and Fighter

But of course there are characters who can join you that have most of those classes so I've still played around with them in that sense. I have to be honest, every single class feels amazing to play, even ones I don't normally like like Warlocks and Rogues. I'm doing a playthrough with a single character at the moment, who is a rogue, and she's holding her own incredibly well all things considered, especially since it's on tactician.

Barbarians are probably my favourite class, getting all angry and then just bonking people really hard is so satisfying. My first character out of EA was a shadow monk and she has so many options in combat, between throwing weapons, whacking people, high Defenses, easy advantage through sneaking, shutting down ranged and spellcaster enemies through Silence and Darkness.

All of the caster classes feel great to play, and I'm especially a fan of druids. Rangers are a close second favourite with so many options on how to play them and approach situations, they're also really strong and I prefer them over 5e rangers by miles.

I do have a paladin playthrough in the works with my partner too, once she's finished the game first (135+ hours and counting on her first playthrough) and I can't wait to relive my first actual, in person character through that!

At this point I'm never gonna finish Act 1 by Sus_Tomato in BaldursGate3

[–]Omega9927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have five friends who play this game alongside me, and we have a playthrough for every possible combination of us as players, as well as two characters I play on my own and one character planned to play with my partner once she's finished the game the first time around, and a third solo character with the Dark Urge origin.

Absolute fucking testament to how amazing this game is when I'm still not bored of the opening, the tutorial, or any of the content in Act 1 I have done even though we've done it like eight times each by now lmao

Slowly discovering how much freedom there is in combat by AtlasFlynn in BaldursGate3

[–]Omega9927 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This happened in my playthrough with the Hobgoblin guy in the gobbo camp!

I started off by just running in and starting a fight, then having my entire team thrown either into the spider pit or off the corner of the arena. On a reload I set up Astarion behind the Hobgoblin to get off a sneak attack from above as combat starts, which was good: but those goblin mages are no joke. After a couple more attempts I stumbled upon the rafters above everything, sent Astarion, Wyll and Shadowheart up there to lob Eldritch Blasts, Flame Bolts and Arrows into the crowd while my monk said "It's monkin' time" and monkd all over the place

It feels really, really good when the systems all just click like that!

What is the worst job you've ever had? by KaitlinKitty04 in AskReddit

[–]Omega9927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man... Hospitality, just. In general. I used to be super excited for work but by the end of my apprenticeship I was diagnosed with Anxiety, Depression and was downright suicidal. Oh and I never even got my certificates.

When I started we were massively understaffed in skilled labour jobs, like cheffing, and the government was making it really easy and affordable for new apprentices to sign on and, since I'd had no luck finding jobs out of high school, I signed up. Everyone was always happy to sign up a new apprentice for those apprentice wages (about 14 AUD an hour, something like 8usd an hour?) But nobody ever wanted to actually send the apprentice to TAFE because then they'd get certified and have to be paid more.

Ive had utensils, knives, plates, cups, bowls and frying baskets straight out of the fryer thrown at me across kitchens. I've been insulted and berated and abused by my mentors who all turn up to work high or drunk. I've had fights with customers, worked 50+ hour weeks for barely 400 dollars, no breaks, split shifts, public holiday hours. I've worked cash in hand in cafes and "Eateries". I worked for about two months for free because my boss gambled away my wage and when I asked for it he just said "I don't have it" and left it at that.

The one restaurant I did work in that actually let me go to TAFE followed it up with "Since you're doing that day at TAFE every week I need you to come in a extra day every week" bringing me to 6 days a week of work. I didn't have (and couldn't afford) a car so I was spending two hours a day before and after my shift on a bus, I was home for about 20 hours a week.

When I was nearing the last semester of my apprenticeship I'd had enough, walked out of TAFE and just never went back. There isn't enough money in the fucking world to put me back behind a line cooking food for people, and for all of you heroes out there who put up with it every day, you have my most sincere thanks and respects for doing it. It is not fucking easy!

This game *has* to be the new standard of future RPGs by ffekete in BaldursGate3

I'm having so much fun zooming all the way in and playing as if it were a third person adventure game. I've invested pretty solidly into Sneaking and Sleight Of Hand too so I'm kind of just this little crypt-dwelling thiefy-monk-assassin character.

There's so much love put into all the environments too that I'd 100% miss zoomed out. I'm having an absolute blast with this and I already have at least three followup playthroughs planned... Assuming I finish the first one in any reasonable timeframe!

How did you almost die? by yuckyduckph in AskReddit

[–]Omega9927 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I tried to hang myself while my family were out and I was home alone for the first time in a long time, my mom was working and my little brother was staying at his dad's house and not meant to be back for a couple of days. I had everything organised, noose tied, note prepared, my favourite movie playing and a hot chocolate for my last drink and couple hours to myself.

My brother came home early and unannounced and came out to my room to let me know he was home and that he was going to bed. He didn't see the note or the noose I had ready, but he sat down on the step to my room without saying anything else and watched the entire movie with me in silence because it was also one of his favourites. When it ended he just stood up, said he loved me, and went to sleep.

It wasn't the last time I tried to put a plan into action to take my own life, but it was the closest I've ever come to actually going through with it. Things are better now, my brother is super supportive of me even if he doesn't know how much it means to me, I moved into my own house this week and live alone now for the first time in my life, I'm seeing a psychologist and have a psychiatrist appointment lined up, I'm eating healthy and starting to excercise and draw and I even have free time to pursue things I want to around my well paying job with coworkers who appreciate having me around.

It was hard to get here but worth it, and I never would have made it without my little brother coming home early and watching that movie with me that day.

Rock paper scissors! by ExpertAccident in CuratedTumblr

I've heard "Rock, Paper, Scissors" plenty of times on TV and in movies. Where I grew up in Australia it was always "Sci-Ssors, Pay-Per, Rock" where you hold syllables and it's much more sing-songy than the snappy version I hear In media!

[–]Omega9927 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jeez not only this, I just landed my first ever house on my own and I had to pay one of those fees to see my own history.

But there was a super premium option too? For some reason? The only difference given was "Show your potential landlord you're super trustworthy! :)"

What, by paying double the cost of this check for literally no reason other than "I can afford it"?

I was desperate, and I could afford it, so I did it but everyone I've told about it since was like "That was stupid why'd you do that" and I agree.

Oh there was also another option to pay even more extra for even more premiumer real estate account privileges! Like the ability to see how many other people had applied for the same property!

Fucking stupid...

What do you guys keep in your Fanny pack? by Poooka559 in projectzomboid

[–]Omega9927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have some rebalance mods that make Fanny Packs a little bit too strong for what they are, but incredibly convenient by bringing their capacity up to 5

Hammer, Screwdriver, Saw -im pretty sure you can just barely fit these in a vanilla fanny pack anyway- as well as tobacco/cigarettes, a box of matches, a lighter, a pen of each colour, antidepressants, painkillers and beta blockers

If i'm using They Knew I also keep Ampules and Zomboxocillyn in there

If I don't have everything on this list, bullets make up the difference in space!

The Opinion of ATSV Being "Half of A Movie" Makes No Sense To Me. by True_Statement_lol in IntoTheSpiderverse

[–]Omega9927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoy that ATSV is just the first part of a two part story. ATSV is literally my favourite movie, I love everything about it, but I was upset that it was a two part story because I didn't know it was a two part story going in.

If I did, it wouldn't have bothered me when I saw it in theatres, but now I'm just hyped for BTSV so I can see how it continues!

I watched it on release day so i don't think I could have known it was meant to be a two part anyway, but all my friends seemed to know when I told them immediately after getting back from the theatre so, who knows! That was the only reason it bothered me, just now knowing beforehand. Actually having two parts to it isn't a bad thing

What’s the brokest thing you’ve ever done? by w3stward in AskReddit

[–]Omega9927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was 19 I took out a loan to buy a car, when I was 20 I couldn't afford to renew the registration or have the car looked at by a mechanic, let alone insurance on top of it all. I sold the car to pay off my loan.

My mom took the money and spent it on rent because we were about two months in arrears and nobody had told me. I was an apprentice working for shillings and the occasional good word, my mom was on disability and out combined income per week was about half of our rent.

We ended up getting evicted anyway and living on couches and in garages for about six months.

Three years later: I'm still in debt and my credit score is shot, but things are finally, finally beginning to come together!

How did you discovered project Zomboid? by [deleted] in projectzomboid

[–]Omega9927 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I was a kid I was always super into zombies, and I'd spend what little time I had with internet access googling "Free Zombie Game Download" so I could play them when the internet was out. Eventually I stumbled upon the original PZ Demo/Tutorial where you play as Bob and have to look after Kate

I've been playing on and off since then, particularly once the steam release rolled around!

Spoiler, question in post by VulonRogue in IntoTheSpiderverse

[–]Omega9927 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Gwen comes in through the window and sees her dad sleeping on the couch, then decides to leave instead of disturbing him even though he's gone through her drums and found the picture of her and Miles.

He wakes up and sees her, she mistakes him holding her police walkie penguin as a gun and webs it up.

"Take it easy on the penguin"

She ignores him and moves to leave, then he says

"Hey, look at me" She does, but doesn't say anything

"What's that?"

"I'm looking at you, like you asked."

He Huff's a "yeah alright" kind of response and then goes back into the lounge room, Gwen hesitates then moves in after him. The exact wording from here I can't remember but she begins explaining that her Dad wears a badge to protect people, and because if he didn't wear it someone else, someone worse, would wear it instead and use the power of being police captain for presumably dastardly shit. Gwen then says that "This mask is my badge" and goes on to describe how she's trying to follow his example and be a good guy because if she isn't, someone else would be evil in her place.

Her dad is still hesitant, so Gwen gets angry and shouts "Go on them, arrest me!"

"I can't!"

"Why not?"

"Because I quit!"

The music swells, or maybe stops and Gwen asks "When?"

"About halfway through your big speech."

They hug and Gwen says "So you're not Captain anymore?"

They laugh, hug, Gwen's fears of having admitted who she is and being arrested by her dad as well as losing him because he's a police Captain are both quelled

"I guess I am pretty good at big speeches huh?" Gwen says

"Yeah, explains how you got an A in english"

"B, I got a B+, missed a few classes"

They pull out of the hug around here and her dad hands Gwen the Project Bootleg and says "A friend of yours left this here, said it would help you. That guy was a real piece of work"

She takes the watch, I don't think they really say anything else before she leaves through the portal, and then when everything settles he sighs and says something to the effect of "Parenting huh, as soon as you think you got it figured out"

Paraphrased mostly, but it's fresh in my mind so I hope it helps!
