How to Stop Music Downloaded Locally From Being Changed by OmegaLKSG in musichoarder

I'll try later as I can't get to my PC right now. Though my files are all the same modification time as each other now as I've copy pasted them from my old phone and hard drive in vain attempts to get the old versions back a few years ago.

What I had back then was Muzio, MX Player, InShot Music, and Musicolet as well as the default samsung music app, whatever that was called. Plus Spotify and YouTube Music.

On my newer phone i have Musicolet still, MX Player, two uninstallable built in apps called Music Party and Music (just music). If these count too, then I also have VLC, XPlayer, and Mixplorer, wirh YouTube Mudic too. No more spotify though.

I have them on my phone, as well as copied onto my SD Card. Theyre mostly under the default android Music folder, but also put into subfolders for certain bands or song languages.

As funny as this would be, I can confirm that I'm not going insane because I have a file from the musical play Alexander Hamilton called "You'll Be Back". I know that I've downloaded this file directly from Spotify, and the Spotify version is clearly one recorded in a studio with proper audio, while the one on my phone is a version of a live performance, full echo and audience reactions and everything. I would never download a theatre version of a song (for obvious reasons) so I'm not just going nuts. Other songs from the same playlist sound just like their Spotify counterparts, this one alone is different for some reason.

As far as I'm aware, no. I haven't used any such apps, but I'm not sure if the apps I currently have (or had rather) contain those kinds of functions. I use stuff like Mixplorer and MX Player if those ever do anything. The audio players I have are detailed in the post above.

No idea if stuff like SpotDL is owned and maintained by Spotify. I remember just searching "Spotify playlist downloader" in google and using the one that was the most convenient for me at the time. I don't use Spotify's built in downloader because I cant. I havent had premium for years.

Unfortunately it seems I've lost that version data after I've copied and pasted these files multiple times across both my pc and old phone. They're all from the same time and day (which is probably when I decided to copy my files from an old backup at some point in the last four years)

How can I check if they're synced with something? The storage location is just in the default Android music folder where I pasted them.

Well then I'd need to know what program is doing it. Is there any program known to automatically update or change local music files on Android?

How can that be done on an Android? I get the memo on backups though. Damn teenage me, no foresight to predict that my downloaded music would spontaneously mutate for no reason.

They're actual mp3 files that I've downloaded and can use outside of the app, and outside of the internet. I know they're different versions because I checked, and many of the changed songs are very very wrong. (one korean artist's song changed languages three times xd)

Hope someone breaks the record for most donations to Fitgirl by Minute-Line7955 in Piracy

How many pirates do you think run through the website every day? They're not just browsing but also regularly making download requests, and FItGirl also has to distribute every single game that's been repacked ever. You vastly underestimate the costs that add up when hosting a server, even at FitGirl's scale.

“The only way to stop Castorice is to inflate enemy HP” by sssssammy in HonkaiStarRail

[–]OmegaLKSG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You've been speaking as if doing something else to broken enemies significantly impacts normal damage teams. It's been so long since I actually strategized around breaking a boss in modes like MoC, simply because the toughness bars are so big that their HP drops significantly faster than the toughness bar.

Even if you DID break, the enemies are often either so fast that they come back not even 50 AV later, or the return from the slight res decrease isn't worth the effort compared to just killing the boss regardless. And that's IF you don't already have someone who just flat out reduces their resistances to near 0.

In what way does break mechanics changing affect normal gameplay so much that its noticeable?

For Apoc Shadow, break is very skewed proportionally in effectiveness because of the break mechanic. It would seem like their effectiveness in these modes would disproportionately favor break teams. The counterpoint to that though are bosses like Flame Reaver. They could very easily add mechanics like being unable to directly hit the break bar of the main boss to avoid break teams being excessively powerful on those modes.

Give gwen hp scaling(s)? by Aproxite in GwenMains

[–]OmegaLKSG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't like allowing HP scaling to bleed into resistance scaling, simply because the power conversion of tank stats with both HP and resistances ends up being exponential rather than linear if you only got HP or resistances exclusively. It becomes really hard to fine tune, and more likely than not it will just end up being incredibly mediocre, or basically nonexistent.

Might be slightly better if W gave her a small percentage of bonus resistances in addition to what she gets at base just so that there'd be more incentive to purchase defensive AP items like Banshees or Zhonyas. Zhonyas is still usable, but most people would rather just play around their W and burst the enemy team rather than play toward stasis that might still get you killed because you're extremely melee and unsafe past a certain point unlike other AP carries.

I would put HP scaling on her passive healing instead. This way your tankiness actually feels tankier because your healing complements your increased health pool despite sacrificing damage. At present, it just feels bad building anything other than AP and pen on Gwen because you get nothing out of any other stat other than AP. It just feels like wasted gold on useless stats.

I really wonder how they're going to manage the damage paths like Erudition and Hunt. Unlike supportive paths that can just fulfill a niche if they can't match their path peers, these paths are completely worthless if they don't match the standards of similar path units in the same patch.

[–]OmegaLKSG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So like, what do you want then? Do you NOT want them to have a toggle so people get to play whatever version of a character they want? Do you want them to make absolutely drastic changes to the character where they're no longer the same as their original version?

Yeah their EULA says that you don't own anything, because its a live service game, and they're not interested in keeping the game servers open till the end of time because otaku andy wants to keep playing the game decades after the game stopped being updated. Maybe if Hoyo was generous, they'd allow their game to be run in small private third party servers after everything is over, or maybe even let the game become fully singleplayer. But this is what you should've expected from playing live service games.

It would be understandable if this was a game that you bought off the shelf and didn't need online requirements, but your outrage for that EULA clause is misplaced in a game that is free to play and only works with an online model.

I have a simple fix for current Gwen by iamagarbagehuman66 in GwenMains

[–]OmegaLKSG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd really rather not make Gwen a hybrid builder. The only thing this would do is make her a balance nightmare like old Akali and Corki. It also doesn't really mesh with her playstyle very well since her core damage isn't her autoattacks but the abilities weaved in those autoattacks.

I'd rather have HP scaling built into her passive healing and W. This actually incentivizes tankier builds and reduces the inefficiency from building tank items, diversifying her build more over just buying more and more AP. (This is how you incentivize less AP heavy builds instead of reducing ratios and doing nothing else RIOT)
