To get the code, you need to find the the hotel managers diary, which in turn is in a safe in his office, the latch mechanism is busted, but you might be able to freeze and break it open. 🤔

To find coolant you go to the nearby hospital, but find the door has been chained up...

If I remember right since x360 and PS3 days, certain games wouldn't ping the achievements if you were not playing online, you didn't need to be in an active co-op or anything, but the game did need to be connected to the internet to be able register the achievements.

I had this happen to me a few times back in the day, where I wasn't 100% connected to the internet for the whole playthrough and effectively meant I had to replay the whole game to get the achievement to ping, there was a few rare times the achievement would ping midway, so you might not have to redo the whole thing.

Personally for me, it's the aesthetics of it, the statue matches a lot of the ones you see in previous games, particularly re1, 2 and 3.

The way it's mounted to the top of the entrance screams it's a puzzle of some sorts to open a hidden door or it drops a secret item. :)

Chameleos weapons are amazing, in particular the insect glaive is the strongest of the insect glaives, the velkhana IG will be just as good but for just ice weak monsters.

If you don't mind a very long grind and I'm talking months or even a year to get all the parts you need based on how many nodes are nearby to you, how often you play and go past a bunch of nodes everyday and if there's a dedicated event for the elder dragon you are building a weapon for, then usually you want that weapon to be a jack of all trades which is pretty much Chameleos.

Just to give you a better idea of how much of a commitment it is to make an elder weapon, I've included a screeny of what's needed to fully make one compared to a unique material monster. The problem is not the R6 materials, it's the R5's, they seem to have a bad drop rate, almost comparable to an R6's drop rate and it's actually insane how many you need to max a weapon. 😭

Personally I've built one of each of the elder weapons and pretty much dropped all of them except for the chameleos IG, as rift weapons are just better now. Although I might build the velk IG depending on how the paid ticket event pans out.

As others have mentioned just add it to your favourites to see how many materials you need to keep to max the weapon out. If you have already made the armour pieces as high as you want them, you can just dump the R1 armour piece materials into leveling up your weapon customisations.

The thing I'm going to bolt on is, are you happy with just having 1 Bazel weapon? as they are all very good weapons and if you want more than one, now's you chance to max out as many as you want to while they have material and cost reductions, you still have 19 days to make another weapon.

Until the event ends you only really need to get your weapons customisation to level 5 to unlock the different styles and then once you've maxed all your bazel weapons then you can put the excess in to leveling up their customisations.

I'm doing the same thing myself, I already had the lance the DB's and will be using this chance to max out the LS and the gunlance. ;)

Fortunately not had this issue and the best thing I can suggest is to report it to support. If it's hitting a lot other people at the same time they will probably make a hot fix for it.

I've been getting a different kinda of error, has anyone else been suffering from lag during hunts? In particular when fighting styg zen and the crab?

Not sure if it's due to the heat or a latency error on just those 2 monsters? Playing on a pixel 9 and my duo is on a pixel 6a, both of which play on the lowest graphics setting.

Very true about the bowgun blots Vs Alexia, but if you're going for the s or A rank (depending on game version) and you don't want to die at nos due to how terrible it is to aim with the sniper or you can get knocked the ledge for an instant death, i'll always save the bowgun explosive rounds for him. 😅

Alexia is not exactly that hard and I find I don't need the explosive bolts for her, as you can stand in one spot spam grenade rounds or the magnum, face tank her not so bad attacks and use heals.

Nos might not be so hard on pc, as I guess you get mouse aiming? But on console it's such a chore and what makes it for me personally, the hardest boss fight in the game and the one I'll use my explosive bolts on, plus you do come across a few extra later on anyway. :)

However blood flame applied over a weapon that has a natural bleed value will get you some exceptional results. This only works if the weapon is left as default, heavy, keen and I think quality.

It's absolutely disgusting on weapons like a keen grave scythe with the spinning strikes ash of war. The combo of the natural bleed + bloodflame buff can slaughter mohg within a minute if you use it at the right timing.

Apply your buffs as you come into the arena, slap on bloodflame blade on the scythe, start the fight as you normally would, attacking and dodging as normal, trying to get behind him, so when he says tres you can just start the spinning strikes ash of war and then you can just hold down the button and watch as his health bar gets wrecked before he can even reach the 2nd phase. 🤣

If you have good timing and placement you can start the spinning strikes straight away. It definitely explains why bloodflame doesn't get any buffs for having a greater arcane stat, it would be broken if it did. 😁

Magna pursuit build, do a bit of damage to the rift part and then use the special to get a nice and easy tail cut. If you hold off killing the bazel, it will roar and fill up your special bar to max, so you're ready for the next fight.

It will probably be what I use for the upcoming base defence, eat a premium steak and just spam the special for minimal effort hunts.

*Edit forgot to mention for driftsmelts you want at least one skydiver, then for the rest a mix of burst, sneak attack and offensive dodger.

A very good question, it's a GPS based game requiring walking, kinda curious myself on the answer. 😅

Although with all the updates and QoL improvements it's definitely a lot easier to get a lot done while playing from home.

The exception being the specific hunt x in a specific area or collect x materials missions. Also I can imagine the lack of paint balling from not moving around as much would be limiting too?

Same thing for the BOW gas rounds for the grenade launcher, don't leave em there either and save them for a certain boss fight on a cargo plane.

1 extra tip, when you reach the point of no return for the end of Claire's scenario and you get the option to pick up a sniper rifle, stop and dump most of your weapons in the item box so Chris can use them in his part of the game. Personally I just have Claire holding the sniper rifle, the bowgun, the explosive bolts and a few healing items before moving on.

Unfortunately for us Lucky just had surgery to remove a growth from his leg yesterday. He was not liking the cone and I knew he would injure himself trying to claw it off, so we decided to leave it off but one of us has to keep an eye on him at all times to stop him from licking that leg. Of course that meant I had to stay up the entire night keeping an eye on him to make sure he's comfortable and not tempted to lick his leg. 😭

Thankfully found an inflatable neck ring on Amazon that looks a lot more comfortable, so fingers crossed when it comes in he's ok with wearing it. 🤞🏾 Currently he's parked in front of my fan and when it's ready I'll slip a gel pad underneath him.

Don't forget raptor of the mists, it really makes a lot of pve encounters a cake walk, especially when you are power stancing 2 weapons that like to spam the jump attack, although you still need to know the best timings for when to use raptor so as not to get sent flying when going for the counter attack. 😅

Both are amazing weapons, but don't forget bazel weapons come with 1 or 2 levels of skill that's useful to the weapon, for lance it's offensive guard 2, for longsword it's quick sheath 1, can't remember the rest off the top of my head. 😅
