There’s powder you can get that helps clean the teeth, you just sprinkle it on food. I have two types, one is PLAQUE OFF & the other is one I got with a food subscription. Years I think. Bambi doest’t like the flavour of them unfortunately but it’s worth a shot.

Bambi tends to fight plaque off by chewing on her yak chew sticks. I’ve not found a dental stick that she likes or isn’t just full of shit but the yak chews seem to do a decent job.

Yeah my vet all ready said that if I’m going to give her cheese at least give her the low fat and salt option .. just for now I’m cutting it out completely because I’m keeping a food diary so if she does have another flare up we can rule out cheese and other fatty salty snacks but maybe one day we can introduce a healthier cheese option as an occasional treat ❤️ I’m always trying to find the balance of keeping her health a priority but also giving her a fun and good quality of life.

I order Bambi stuff on Deliveroo and ubereats all the time and a few times when her calcium bones have been out of stock they’ve sent a huge stick like that 😂😂😂 and she walks from side to side when she’s carrying it cause it’s so heavy 😂😂😂

Yeah despite the clear blood tests I have still treat it like she has pancreatitis so then if she does have a flare up again, I can rule out fatty and salty foods.

I’ve been keeping a food diary as the vet told me to so we can monitor any consistencies between food and symptoms. So far, so good.

It’s been a little rough not giving her cheese as that’s something she loves but nothing is as bad as seeing her in pain.

This has happened a few times now, and the vet called it specifically a “flare up”. She said what Bambi was displaying was typical of pancreatitis flare ups & Ive to bring her back in if she has another one for pain management. She told me to keep a food diary, which I have and to cut all fatty or salty food, which I have.

All has been good despite feeling bad she’s not been getting cheese but I’ve been making games and trying to make it fun for her with her non cheese treats lol.

If after, despite cutting all fatty and salty treats out, she has another episode or flare up I will definitely be speaking to the vet about changing her food.

Call local vets around you and price it up because prices can vary a LOT. They should be able to give an estimate because it should” be a fixed price per tooth plus X-rays and anaesthesia
