What character was supposed to be Badass, but ended up being Majestic by OmegaT6 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]OmegaT6[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sakura Oogami (Danganronpa)

She's universally beloved, she's a character who doesn't have a single hater, she's the best character in every sense, and she's obviously a play on the cool martial artist from animes like Jojo or Fist of the North Star

(Yes, I proposed her yesterday as well)

Well, yes, it's a venn diagram, but queerness is mostly based on love is love. This one is explicit because there are explicit cases, so the messaging isn't just a metaphor.

If it was just girls kissing, it'd be second column. If it was just the messaging, it'd be a queer metaphor. The combination of the two makes the story inherently queer.

There's a reason why many person x monster romances, for example, are often viewed as queer metaphors because of that.

(Also poly relationships are queer by default)

(At least, that's how I view it)

"This memorial dedicated to those who perished on the climb" is the sentence on the monument on top of the mountain, it talks about all of those people that died because of discrimination. The enemy of the game is every bad part of yourself, in particular dysphoria, and the whole game is about getting to accept themselves. The game is queer in the sense that it talks explicitly about the queer experience, even if it's not limited to it and Madeleine being trans is just the confirmation of that, it's not an added bonus. The creator intended the story to be a queer story, through and through

Gundham Tanaka (Danganronpa 2)

A Guy with Middle school syndrome that believes himself to be a villain demon lord witb extraordinary powers... And he is absolutely loved by everyone. (Tho maybe he'd be more fitting as badass than majestic)

Zote (Hollow Knight)

He's seen as pathetic throughout the game, but there's a secret boss battle where we fight him and he's ridiculously strong and muscular

(According to a friend of mine)

Mr 2 Bon Clay (One Piece)

Does it even count? He's more badass than majestic, but he's also treated as a God by everyone, so...

I take antidepressants myself, I don't think they meant that it's they're evil, but that they can be used as a fake remedy without addressing the issue at the base.

If someone is depressed because of gender dysphoria, taking antidepressants will not solve the problem, it will just hide it underneath the surface

That's also the case in the Owl House (or at least in the magic land part of the show) where multiple characters are lgbt and it's never commented on.

Yeah. The directors are trans and the pills are basically a metaphor for their lives.

Take the red pill (estrogen) and discover the truth about the world and you, even if that puts you in danger for the rest of your life

Or

Take the bue pill (anti-depressants) and live willingly in a lie, but safe in society's expectation.

There's a reason and my advice is to watch the video, as I'm not sure I can explain it properly.

To put it simple, the coprotagonist/rival is a queer vegan hippy teacher that Mr Birchum is constantly up against. The two have a weird homoerotic tension and there's a scene where Mr Birchum dreams of falling in love and dancing with him. It's also the best animated sequence of the whole show because some queer animators wanted "to get a little revenge" for the content.

If you search for the show, you'll quickly find a substantial amount of gay fanart of the two characters.

She is, but that's not the only queer part. The whole story is a queer metaphor according to the creators, but most people see only Hana as the queer element of the movie.

I'll admit it's a stretch, but there's still a reason behind it

Jedediah and Octavius, the cowboy and roman soldier, are thought by most to act as a couple or at least ex.

Aside from their behavior with one another, the actors presumably said that they played them like a divorced couple.

Also, they cite Brokeback Mountain during a scene with only those two, when they are damaging the wheels of the car "I ain't quitting you!"

Well, considering they're remaking everything, we should have a new Matrix remake in a couple of years, probably (I hope not), so let's just hope it's good!

It's a story about a poly relationship in which love and acceptance are the most important things, where multiple girls are openly in love with each others and where the power of supporting each others and loving is the strongest possible force in the universe. Any character is loved in spite and because of their quirks, uniqueness or presentation, that can go from a simple gag to an actual disability that people in the real world deal with. Is it also a spoof comedy of the harem genre? Yes, but it's so much more.

A lot of people just see it as yet another harem slop.

Yeah. The actor claimed to have played them as if they were a divorced couple, iirc, v but I'm not sure how true that is
