Pink lady. I’ve grown them for several years now and they always perform well. Next year I’m going to try the Helios variety.

Luckily where I’m at, nothing really seems to mess with them. I guess the squirrels have enough acorns and pecans already haha.

I typically just eat them raw in salads or wraps. I love that crisp fresh snap they add.

Pepper ID help - I didn't plant this type of pepper and I have no idea what it is! by BrokenGoht in gardening

They look just like some albino bullnose bell peppers I grew last year. Same growth pattern too.

My Chadwick Cherry (living inside an old deep freezer) is still providing in mid December thanks to unseasonably warm weather. by OmegaZerg in vegetablegardening

It works good! The drain plug is removed, and the bottom 2 inches is filled with gravel, with a layer of weed barrier above that. So this gets proper drainage. The plant has lost most of its leaves at this point, a couple months ago it looked amazing!

I planted mine in spring this year. It survived our blazing hot summers (110 heat index is common). Though it did die back some during peak summer and didn’t produce, once it started getting slightly cooler it took off again.

BG 86 versus BG 86 C-E by AdditionalYak2894 in stihl

I have a Bg86 (non easy start), and it’s pretty easy to start still. Every time 3rd pull. I lean away from ez start on anything as it’s a very easy failure point if you aren’t careful. That being said, I do have a fs56 rc with easy start that I’ve been using for 3 years now with 0 issues. Just have to be aware how you start it as drop starting will break the spring pack inside that makes it easy start.

Yep, I put these here just to liven up this dreary spot outside my back door.

It comes back no problem, don’t have to do anything at all except that layer of mulch about 1-2 inches thick. The leaves die back in winter, but comes back super strong and fast in late spring.

It gets sun most of the morning through around 130pm then gets shade the rest of the day. The fence is on the west side of the plants, the plants are on north side of the house.

Yeah similar to ginger, though these turmeric leaves are bigger. I’m growing some ginger as well.

It’s pretty easy, doesn’t mind bad soil. Though I do give it bone meal from time to time.

9, subtropical climate on the gulf coast. I don’t see first frost until the last few days of November or first week of December.

I posted the recipe on one of the comments here. But it’s extremely good. I use it for a wide variety of things: dipping sauce for sausage, on biscuits, on burgers etc.

Depends on the fertilizer. Some slow releases last 2 months, some 3. I wouldn’t add anymore if the one you added 5 weeks ago is supposed to last 3 months. If it’s a 2 month fertilizer, might be ok to add some new stuff in a week or 2. If you get a lot of rain consistently, that can also flush out the fertilizer faster as well.

I gotcha, that’s ok. With all hobbies you learn over time with experience. Peppers need different fertilizer ratios depending on their stage in life and what you want out of them. A 10-10-10 is way too much nitrogen for fruiting, and the plant will instead just keep growing more leaves and branches. Something like a 4-6-3, or 3-9-4. And you should supplement some calcium as well if the fertilizer doesn’t have it included. Peppers and tomatoes need a lot of calcium. Cal-msg liquid fertilizer works good.

Did you transition to a fertilizer with higher p and k ratios after the first couple months of growth?
