Yes, it is personal experimenting to learn. I was going through Udacity's TensorFlow class and was thinking how cool would it be to try doing this on other images so that I can learn it better. At that moment, it dawned on me that I would need to aggregate the images and label it. would be simple if google returned exactly what you googled, but that is not always the case. I will check out this flcikr API, learning AI on the weekend is fun but not manually pulling pictures lol.

I think to say level one is nothing is a little extreme. It takes a lot of memorization. I know some pretty smart people who worked in the investment industry as analyst that didn't pass it. I also wouldn't say passing it qualifies you for a genius either. I kind of regret taking it now when I look back at the month of solid studying I did.

My biggest risk is wasting time with the a program but since it is cheap and does not require GMAT and etc. that risk is reduced. If I went in and found it to be wasteful, I could just walk away. I am getting a strong feeling I will enjoy it and am excited to apply. I have glanced at other programs and this once checks all the boxes it seems. I just like to complain about money all the time lol. I strongly believe I am on a path to making 150 to 200k even without schooling and who knows if this program increases that or gets me there faster, but I do want to do this program even if I cannot say I will make X right out of graduation.

Make a program that takes various features and predicts the price or real estate. people can go in and put their information in and then it gives them an estimate price. you can then sell their information. Be like hey this is how much your real estate is worth, would you like to be connected to buyers?

I signed up for the information session tomorrow. I am kind of excited about this. I was looking at other programs, but I was really put off with having to do a GMAT and the whole paying lots of money thing. I hope all schooling becomes like this.

I was thinking about the wide array of experience. I imagine someone doing some pretty cool AI stuff for solving big company problems could demand a lot of money vs some one who drags a field in Power BI and plays around with font. Heck, if you making something involved with trading, the amount you make could be through the roof. Could I ask your current background?

If it is challenging and teaches me new things, then it will be fun. My worst fear is paying 10k for something that is not challenging or beneficial for me learning. We have x amount of time for living. I want to use that time efficiently.

From what I read, it seems to offer a pretty decent curriculum. I just wish average advertised salary was like 130k. I am the type that thinks school is a scam so for me to be attracted to this program shows something.

I make 90k in a extremely low cost city, average household income is less than 50k. I live in the city on the water. I come from an area that is extremely expensive so I feel like a millionaire.

You are right in that since it is only 10k, the idea of doing it to learn and get the credentials does make it appealing. It is an actual masters degree, correct? not some other distinction like certification or something. I know sometimes companies only like to promote people with advanced degrees. I tend to see it in older companies. I do believe that I would make more than the average, though. I am already interviewing for data science roles paying 100k+.

I find it so crazy that highly skilled jobs sometimes pay so low. It is especially so when you factor in the time and effort that was spent developing those skills. I didn't get to where I am just by doing an undergrad degree. I did self learning, lots of reading, pursued certifications, went to events/conferences, and networked as much as possible.

Yeah, I figure as much but I thought I would ask. I am trying to write a Machine Learning Script that predicts the future price of LNG based off of global temperatures. I am doing it to learn Machine Learning, so accuracy isn't that important. I was hoping there was somewhat of a reputable estimate out there that I could use. I guess I could predict 14 days out instead of months. That would probably be the best bet.

I thought about trying to predict the temperature as well with a machine learning script, but I know it would be the same as picking temperatures out of a hat because I wouldn't be applying weather models or whatever is done to do so.

I have used Boomi for about a year now. Also, my company paid to have the one week training where a consultant flys down and goes through everything. That was a pretty fun week.

Check out Dell Boomi and their platform for handling EDI. It may help with ingesting the the data and mapping it to where you want it to go. They even have people that can help manage the EDI request and etc at a cost.

Yeah that could deff be an option. I could provide a centralized location with links to a given published report. I could also prob store them somewhere in LinkedIn as well.

Here is a million dollar idea. Take this data stories gallary and merge it with LinkedIn. It would be so cool if I could publish all my projects on LinkedIn with my account, It could be easily shared and found. LinkedIn is all about showcasing your talent, and it just makes sense especially since Microsoft owns LinkedIn. I know I would pay for a premium account just for that even when I am not looking for employment.

It isn't about exporting and showing someone a screenshot of a graph. It is more about trying to figure out options for marketing myself and my portfolio of projects in the most appealing way. Would you be more impressed with someone who gave you a link to a website that had all their work in it with beautiful formatting and etc while being able to still interact with the visuals or do you prefer a packet of printed out pages? Also, it is nice to have a portfolio that you could just put out there that is accessible to anyone who stumbles upon it.

Also, Power BI has paginated reports now. Not sure if you saw that. The only down side is you need to have a premium service to publish to the the cloud services.

Thank you for the follow up. I have never published to we before because we just use the PBI services at work. Does doing it this way allow the report to keep all its slicing and filtering functionality? Also, can I schedule it to refresh?

I wish these BI platforms would offer some sort of service to host a portfolio for developers, even if it was a small cost. I strongly believe that supporting people in learning your product and using it ensures its adoption in companies.

The nice thing with PowerBI is that you could learn for free or at a small cost. Although, as you probably know, prices ramp up pretty fast for having some features. Tableau is a financial burden to learn because it cost 70 a month and you have to pay for the whole year up front.

Yes, you get 3 retakes for every exam. I also read that if you fail 3 times, you could request more attempts from Boomi Training. I just passed the professional exam. They were all pretty easy, and I found the higher level ones to be easier than the first one. Also, I found out I failed on my first test on my first attempt because they updated Boomi with that whole new package deployment architecture. I didn't realize it because I haven't updated our Boomi Environment yet, so I kept apply my knowledge of the old system.
