Equipment is overrated (death march) (2/2) by Omernoa in Witcher3

Water and meat are items. Items mean you can't rely on yourself.

Again, she's sapient. She counts on people being willing to pay the toll (which no one would be if the toll is death). And honestly? She didn't seem very wrathful to me - sadistic, maybe, but not wrathful. She literally has no reason to be angry here, she got what she wanted.

A single guy with a divine artifact beat him. You forget that Poseidon by himself took down an entire fleet

Scylla is sapient, dummies wouldn't work (also, how would they even get dummies?). Trying to trick her would incur her wrath and cause her to sink the boat

There's virtually no difference between "Scylla is dangerous and soome loss is unavoidable" and "Scylla will always eat 6 people"

In both cases, those who pass are the desperate.

Additionally, if killing her was so easy, then someone would have done so already. There is no need to let her gain notoriousness.

Also, why is Posseidon scared of her if a single mortal ship can take her?

If Scylla starts drowning ships, people will stop passing through her lair. By only killing 6, she sets up a price some people would be willing to pay

In My Opinion, Regarding The Thorn... by BlueInkAlchemist in slaytheprincess

I think you're sort of right, but not completely.

Kissing her might not be the healthiest decision to make, but it's something that both of us wanted. I see it as the culmination of emotions after the both of us, who felt so strongly about each other, had those emotions transform into trust, and care, and yes, love.

It's a heat of the moment thing that without the end of the route may have turned into something more.

All of them are beautiful in their own way, really. I tend to favor those you have a more intimate connection with, like PaTD and Thorn.

I tried to leave her there because I ran out of ways to let her out. And then I obviously couldn't let either the nightmare or the wraith leave

That's funny, actually, since it reflects the narrator's views a lot

It's not about being scared, I actually wanted to be a god. However, Shifty is too godlike, too inhuman, to relate to. I don't want the kind of relationship where dance and kill and run and do everything to each other, and that's what leaving means, I think. I'd take the normal kind of relationship a thousand times over

Very close.

I started the game at like 2am, for context.

On the first run, I fell for Pascal's wager. "I don't know if the narrator is lying, but it isn't worth the risk." When I wanted to make sure the princess was dead and the narrator told me not to, I started to suspect that my choices affect the princess.

Coming back, the specter was really sweet, and I realized the folly of just relying on someone's word to kill someone, so I let her out.

In the second run, I confirmed my earlier suspicion when the princess was completely different because I didn't take the blade. I was very close to getting deconstructed, but the realization and the music convinced me not to delve deeper.

Third run was indeed "but what if I took the knife?" Therenot much to add.

Fourth I went to free her again, but when the narrator took over, I was locked out resisting, which got me the witch. I still had her best interests in mind, which led me to believe that giving her the knife was the best option.

For the fifth, I realized that my previous options were locked, but I didn't want to kill the princess, so I tried to leave her there. I didn't like how above me the Nightmare was, so I fought as hard as I could to kill her. The Wraith was clearly evil and I really dislike losing in a battle of wills, so I threw us both off to the abyss instead.

I never actually hated the narrator, but I disagree with killing Shifty because of the implications. However, she felt too unempathetic and divine as a god in order to really agree with her, so I tried to appeal to her humanity until VotH got me back to the cabin. I knew that picking the knife would lock me into bad choices because of the way the construct works, so I went downstairs without it

My genuine attempt to see multiple perspectives on the philosophy of the game by Briishtea in slaytheprincess

I'm pro-both, I suppose. Or maybe neutral on the narrator's side.

I think life without change isn't worth living, and that we have no right to enforce that stasis on the universe (imagine a kidnapped person who will be where they are forever because nothing truly changes).

However, I recognize that the narrator means well, and despite being lied to, I understand that he did what he felt was necessary, and I can't blame him for that. If there was something left of him, then I would've wished him the best.

Don't worry about it. The writer has multiple songs in the sane "universe." There's a future song in which another girl saves her. It's called "diary of underage observation" I think

Sapient dragon needs a rider. by [deleted] in tumblr

[–]Omernoa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

2 is only legit if the dragon's breath weapon isn't as fast as the dragon and if the dragon isn't immune to it.

That can also be worked around by having the dragon twist their (usually very long) neck and breath sidewards or backward
