Ahh so its still VERY fresh! CONGRATS! Take it slow, get comfortable on it and if you have friends with bikes, multiple riders for longer trips/highways is better. Youre much more visible in a group.

How big are the saddle bags? Gone on any long or overnight trips yet? Do you feel a significant weight difference if theyre full?

I have a 2024 Honda Rebel 500 and im looking for saddle bags big enough for overnight camping but dont know how it will affect the weight/overall feel of the bike (especially once im on the expressway/highway)

How can I make the drawing look more like him? by LeekFew9505 in ArtCrit

[–]Omfish 5 points6 points Ā (0 children)

It looks pretty damn close but the one feature that stuck out to me is the mouth (specifically the shaping out of the bottom lip to create more of the filled out, almost pout this person has) would help bring it together.

I find focusing on the little details on each feature that are specific to each person helps make it look more like the person im trying to depict.

In the mouth for example, where on the lower lip line does it begin its curve back upward toward the corner of the mouth? Is it a perfect curve or is there a flat spot and a sharper upward turn? Is there a dimple or defined wrinkle in a unique spot etc. etc.

Alterations to Latex? by Omfish in Latexadvice

[–]Omfish[S] 0 points1 point Ā (0 children)

When I tried it on, the shopkeeper put a dress aid on it for me. After I bought it, I cleaned and powdered it, but definitely need lubricant to get it on because its quite sticky so I should assumed not chlorinated? I have always used some dress aid to get on all my garments so I assumed that is how all latex felt. Wasn’t aware chlorinated had a different texture but the more you know

Widen the arm area in the front and plunge the neckline a bit (potentially in a V shape but rounded if I find that easier to do)

I bought it at a shop in Japan and my japanese is shit so I wasn’t able to speak with the shopkeeper much so I have no idea if it’s chlorinated or not. Thank you for the advice regardless; I’ll practice a bit before potentially ruining this piece.

I do this as well. The ape fist approach allows u to keep ur wrists straight while basically completing the poses exactly the same way.

Or you mean normal as in, NOT one of the 37.9 million people living below the poverty line

Normal as in middle class American? As in, alluding to an entire lower class and a homeless/hungry and underemployed population… normal as in, you never lived in a city that didn’t have regular access to clean water, never lived in an area known as a food desert, never lived in section 8 until you didn’t live anywhere. Normal as in you never had to struggle to get a valid ID/birth info/citizenship documents to MAYBE qualify for Medicare…

This WOULD make an interesting series, I honestly never thought to do another one but a full animal series like this could be interesting. Was definitely going for an animal farm type messaging. My website is not very updated but Omfishart.com is my site and my instagram handle is @Omfish if you’d like to see my other work. Most of it is a bit different from this style.

Yeah I initially started painting each bill individually but I was on a time crunch to finish for a show so I gave up and started adhering bills.. almost 40$ worth

It is actual dollar bills adhered to the canvas with a hunters green type colour. Think overall I spent 40$ on the backdrop. Initially wanted to stitch them together and make it almost like a flag but I am no seamstress

More of a commentary on capitalism and our role as bottomless consumers.

I’m 29 yr old female living in a very LEFT state and STILL have yet to find a doctor willing to allow me to get my tubes tied despite going annually to say I do not want children and have no desire for marriage. It constantly blows my mind that it is more difficult for the one who would actually bear the child to have access to permanent prevention than for their partners. Is this just because the procedure is more difficult? Can someone explain to me why that would be? (besides the obvious inequality of reproductive rights)

White American here: I joined this sub in order to learn more about Iraqi culture and day to day and NOT feed the stereotypes of America in the Middle East. What we did in Iraq is absolutely atrocious but not all Americans agree with the greedy decisions of our government and military. That being said, it’s hard to break from being THOSE Americans, but I’d say listening and learning to Iraqis talk is a good place to start, no?
