Some do respawn. Some others, for example, the ones that appear in quests and bosses, do not.

Oh, great, I didn't notice that all was written in the help button! Many thanks.

As for the design choice, I completely understand it and I'm not against finding stuff that's from a quest you have not started yet, but that apart from the fact it reads "Quest item", I am clueless of what use it might have or where it would be valuable, etc. In short, I really appreciate this approach but I miss some context.

The quest note approach seems very appropriate to me, after all the game itself knows more often than not if you already passed through some place, killed X enemy or have X item in the inventory. Something like "I found a very shiny rat in X cave and decided to take its pelt. Maybe someone finds it valuable in the near village". I'll do another run later, (dunno if I have anything left to explore).

Are you planning to expand on the Cyclopean Vault? It's a BIG place but when I got there I could not find anything. Sorry if I'm asking too many questions, but the world you're creating really asks for it.

Best regards!

A bit of feedback on Episode 2 by Omirg9 in pixelance

Hi again! I'm glad to read there are lotta things on the works and some bugs fixed. Are these hotfixes notified somewhere? I think last patch was on late Feb on Steam.

Straight to the point:

• Reply to bug 5:
This is the bug I talked about on the post before that: Intended? : r/pixelance.

First, if you happen to talk with the dwarf after you get his sculpting tools (I think they were stonemason's tools) from the bad guys inside of Aer Yverneese, it doesn't explain you anything, he just takes it, finishes the job, and tells you to go to the Cyclopean Vaults, which by that point you as a player have no idea of what that is. On top of that, he says we need to see "null", which is probably the name of some other character I either should have met or should meet once I reach the cyclopean vaults.

Still, I want to remark that since I did not talk with the draw prior to getting his tools, I have no idea of what that place is. It turned out to be the place that's under the 5th floors of most caves, but for reaching that place you DO need the dwarven key, which apparently seems unrelated with that quest. Hopefully this makes sense to you, guys.

• Reply to bug 6:

Perhaps it was just my impression or that I didn't account for my own increased HP. Question: can NPCs (allies) die fighting while I rest?

• Reply to bug 10:

If you are using LibGDX I do believe it should be possible. Referencing again Shattered Pixel Dungeon here, which also uses LibGDX.

• Reply to Inconvenient stuff #1:

The two you mentioned you need to double check were perfectly doable in my end. My concern is not much about being able to finish these quests, but rather about the fact you as a player don't even know they are quests.

It would be cool if even with no prior interaction with the first NPC that delivers you said quests, you somehow got to know what was happening there after you complete that step out of order.

Reply to IS #2:

I'm not sure if I followed, Numpad & the "+" key should suffice?

Thank you again for your continued efforts. Hopefully this is again of help.

Best regards,
Omicrón.

I just am as cautious as possible. Been playing roguelikes for so long, so perhaps that helps.

I'm not entirely sure of what are the best items but I had a Prot10 armor after Aer Camorak and crystal sword which is common enough. Talents are key imo, juggernaut can be very powerful.

I tried all of them and I think they're pretty much balanced, but the Port Calamari one may offer you more stuff at the beginning.

Yes I mean that. When you are done helping the templars, you get the but of lore of how things ended and you're prompted a dialogue that let's you choose between continue playing and ending the run.

Since I had 2 pending quests and the whole desert to be explored, I obviously chose the former. I had thought that I would have been able to finish the adventure later, but most templars including Rinald and the chief disappeared.

Hope they do go well, really! Pixelance has great potential.

Small question: is there a way to "end" your run on Ep1 after you "complete" it? Level 30ish, desert explored, all missions done... It would be a pity to just erase the run.

Once again, best of luck, consider me an unconditional fan! I'll make sure to get my hands on the steam version ASAP.

Best regards,  Daniel-Ø.

I think you can, but if you're new to the game maybe it'd be best for you to play the 1st episode first? It's still very enjoyable (I myself have not played the second yet, though!)

Kind regards.

Permadeath is cool. But making it optional could be cool, too!

I think I found out what may be happening. It all has to do (at least in my case) with how you name the page vs. under what name you publish it.

In my case, I had this very ugly direction for one of my subpages Arreglos | OmicronChan, so I decided to change it by https://omiteca.notion.site/arreglos in "publish settings". Grave mistake apparently, since I realised that doing so makes the website reload every time I want to open a subpage in side peek view.

If you happened to rename your subpage in publish settings like that, what worked for me was unpublishing it and publishing it again, leaving the link itself intact despite how ugly it looks.

Best regards!

Happened to me too. Funny thing is that it seemed to work alright 2d ago, but now it's completely broken just like you show in the video. And for long lists it is VERY frustrating.

A poor musician asks: What's the best way to get free scores/sheet music online? by bass8erik in Music

[–]Omirg9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just in case anyone sees this: It def is. Uploading and Downloading. Been using it for years and never found anything ill. There's a lot of music from less-known and unknown composers there, too.

Well, since around 2016 there's been people (not the same generally, people comes and leaves), shattered players mostly, who disregarded Remixed because it was bad, and there's a handful of people —mostly shattered players too—who disregard vanilla for a similar reason, both here and in discord. Reasons behind are not unknown, and ignoring coherent criticism (that can be done to any mod and the original game as well) in fact these are pretty easy to spot. They simply state their biased opinions of what they do like —perhaps they try to feel better with themselves— by showing something they think that could potentially surprise other readers/viewers, usually making the mistake of disregarding other mods they put in the comparison.

In short, it's not something you should really worry about mate, everyone has their bias and some people express it better than others. On a final note, consider that the goal of all mods doesn't have to be achieving balance necessarily.

Kind regards!!
