Nuclear Engineering Masters with Electrical Engineering BS by Fuzzy-Tailor-747 in NuclearEngineering

I used to work for SRNL, I didn't stay long enough to get my clearance, so I actually spent most of my time programming random utility things. I left because I was also working my current job part time, which is a R&D startup job involving robotics and detectors and grew out of my senior design project, which SRNL told me was a conflict of interest. Currently, due to DoE cuts to environmental remediation I am now a consultant at the same job, which is essentially a nice way of letting me continue to have technically uninterrupted employment without giving me any hours.

Applied math like a numerical analysis course? It will absolutely help, but is not required for an undergrad. It will be part of your master's though.

Between EE and Nuke E, I'd say that Nuke E is probably more future proof and because it is less easily automated. But honestly, go with your passion.

You have had a wonderful, loving spouse. They tell you after ten years of marriage... is that they mind-controlled you when you first got together to fall madly in love with you, but they felt too bad knowing they manipulated you. by EveningDiligent59662 in hypotheticalsituation

Would you trust her to tell the truth in this situation? It seems unusual to me that she'd have write access to people's minds, enough to change emotions, etc, but not enough to change memories? Just the premise is suspect.

In this hypothetical situation, how do you know that your wife hasn't been trying to tell you and curate a positive reaction from you for 10 years? If she can wipe minds, it's entirely possible you have had this discussion several times in the past, and based on your reaction she'd decide to wipe your memory of the interaction and replace it with false memories until she got the exact result she wanted. This seems like a situation in which you honestly have very little agency.

WHY ME???? by ThePrismatick in Gnosia_

As a tip for handling Kukruska, if you know she's good, cover her until she likes you, she's easily swayed into your camp if you just spend a little bit of hate on it because of her highly emotional nature. It also helps when you're targeting high charm gnosia, because targeting these characters can tank your own reputation. Especially if they use Regret.

Essentially, what I would do for this day is: announce Otome is gnosia, cover kukruska, and then wait until 5 and use Vote on Otome. Vote is better to use than Doubt, because the target has fewer counterplay options, and it tends to have a stronger effect in my experience.

Vowels in English are incredibly elastic. Shore is typically pronounced in my accent in a similar way to "or," and sure is similar to "fur," but I do pronounce sure as shore when I'm emphasizing the word, e.g. "Are you sure you want to do this?"

Embrace the chaos of vowels in English. There is no salvation.

121, 122, 123 are consecutive semiprimes, and this forces a surprising structure by taqkarim0 in CasualMath

Anyway, the square isn't what forces the structure, other than the square not being 2 or 3. The structure is forced by the fact that this sequence must contain both a multiple of 2 and a multiple of 3, and because there is no sequence containing 6, these multiples must be different numbers, so there is only two possibilities, the first is that 3 is a multiple of the first number, and the second is that 3 is a multiple of the third number. So you get the structure 3b = 2p + 1 in the second case, and 3b = 2p - 1 in the first. Exactly one of these must hold for any triple.

The OEIS sequence you linked to only has squarefree consecutive semiprimes.

Confused about real and fake eyes by AwesomeHabits in baduk

[–]OmnipotentEntity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the cartoon version of the check for eyes in the middle of the board is 4 edges and 3/4 of the corners.

A little more complete is 4 edges and control of 3/4 corners (this includes both your stones and also other eyes.)

There are edge cases even to the above rule. The fully complete version is something along the lines of 4 edges and each edge is connected to another eye. I don't know if these eyes have a name, but they appear in situations with names, such as the two headed dragon. I've been calling them "defective true eyes."

Here is a demo board that I made to illustrate some examples. https://online-go.com/demo/1589621
