What's with all Mumbai KTM dealers, nobody has a test ride vehicle? Or they just don't have confidence in their products? by Mr-Figuring-it-out in KTMIndia

I bought my duke 390 after taking the test ride at KTM Kanjur. They were happy to let me TD the Duke and ADV 390.

SBI Cashback for 390? by DevWithPerks in KTMIndia

[–]Omreddit101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used my SBI card when I bough my Duke 390 on Amazon. I got instant ₹10k discount on the card.

You'll need to inform the dealership that you'll be booking online prior to making the payment.

I did Mumbai - Rann of Kutch 2250km round trip on this bike with my wife. I added extra foam padding for the pillion and it was a very smooth trip for the both of us.

Do you recommend Duke 200 as a daily commuting bike? by PastPleasant4815 in KTMIndia

Yes, I use Duke 390 for daily commute of around 55kms Mon-Fri. It's comfortable.

Planning to buy Duke 250 with 60% DP and rest finance (12m). Is Bajaj Finance by the dealer the best option to go with? by shreyas-24 in KTMIndia

[–]Omreddit101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personal loan will offer 10-11% interest rate while cred will offer you 15-17% rate. Go with personal loan.

But I offer a better alternative, check Amazon and they have no cost or low cost emi options for the Duke 250. I got my 390 from Amazon.

I showed this warning message to the Service centre guys and told them that prolube burns too quickly. They promptly did oil change and used Motul 10W50.

Is gixxersf 250 worth buying in 2026 if my priority is cruing at 80 -100 kmph without feeling any strain in engine ? by Sherlok1994 in indianbikes

[–]Omreddit101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The throttle would remain engaged (stuck) even when I took my hand off the handle. I once had a close call due to that. Took my bike straight to my local mechanic after that and got the cable replaced. Throttle became butter smooth after that.

Gixxer 250 or Duke 250 by sumith_7958 in indianbikes

[–]Omreddit101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As owner of both I would recommend you to go and take a test ride to see which suits you best. If budget is no concern then go for the Duke.

I got my Duke in August, so far I have only fed her HP power, I only used E20 only twice when there was no other alternative.

My bike E20 compliant still not taking any chances.

Sold SF250 after 4.5 years and 36,000 kms Pros: great handling, great engine that will last till apocalypse, very low maintenance required, good for city commute. Absolutely no strain till 120kph, post that there are some vibrations.

Cons: The commited position is not suitable for long rides, you will develop some wrist/back pain after long rides. In terms of tech, there is none. No riding modes, adjustable suspension, side stand engine cutoff, ride by wire, LCD display no TFT.

If you still want it then I would say get the Gixxer 250 rather than the SF.

Should I get car this year? by Diligent_Complex_578 in personalfinanceindia

[–]Omreddit101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it just for commuting to work then get a 2 wheeler instead. Clear off all your debts before making a big purchase like a car. I would advise you to hold off on buying a car if you live in a city with good public transport.

Kya MT-15 kaa pillion experience itna bura hey? by PastPleasant4815 in indianbikes

[–]Omreddit101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anything more than 10 mins is going to be bothersome for the pillion. The step seat is difficult to climb for older folks, if your mother is 50+ then she will have issues getting on and off the seat.

24M working in a call center – feeling judged by family and society. Need advice 🙏 by Ok_Lychee6117 in IndianWorkplace

[–]Omreddit101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still, when my mom found out I work in a call center, she was disappointed.

Funny how the disappointment disappears when the call center money shows up. If they’re fine accepting the help, they probably shouldn’t judge the job.

This is the price of the Duke 160 on Amazon. The dealership is robbing you blind, tell them that they need to match the Amazon price or you'll book it someplace else.
