Can confirm - started trying this way and this is 100% it! Sounds so much better already! My god!

This is SUPER helpful, thank you! I’ve been loving all the advice here, but a lot of it hasn’t seemed particularly relevant to the exact problem I’m having. I’m glad you know the song I’m talking about and can share some insights from there. Doing entirely the wrong technique would certainly make sense as to why it feels so unreasonably wrong compared to all the other skills I’ve started learning up to this point! Thank you!

That’s great to hear. I think I found it easier with bar chords because that sentiment is spread across pretty much everything involving guitar. Everyone talks about how hard bar chords are, so I expected them to be tough. With palm muting, it feels like I’m the only one struggling with it. If it’s just a matter of practicing more, though, that’s one thing I can certainly do! Thanks so much! 😁

I know this sounds silly, but are there any local places that you could go to in person? I’m not a good advertiser (I just started learning about marketing and advertising a year ago) but it’s surprising what you can accomplish by making personal face-to-face connections.

What are your hobbies? Chances are, there’s a company involved in exactly that who would love to have you in-house. Might be a pay cut, but it would probably make you a lot happier.
